Another great…

…week in Utah has flown by. I love that I can get all my beautifications done here. Last summer when I was here I found Luxe Beauty Day Spa. I love that the lady (forgot her name) doesn’t hold back when she adds on the lash extensions. She agrees with me when I say ‘more is more’. So many times they try to convince me that it’s not natural looking with these huge, voluminous lashes, but that’s the whole point I think 🙂 If I was satisfied with natural looking, I wouldn’t get them done in the first place! She also gave me a touch up on my brows. I’m now ready to face the world and do not get in the way of my lashes hahahaaa…

It’s still super hot here, but in the evening it’s a perfect temperature for a walk. You almost always see a mountain range as a backdrop to the humongous houses. And sometimes you come across a friendly goat too 🙂

The best walk is the one to Handel’s Ice Cream 🙂 Best homemade ice-cream in Salt Lake City!

Put in some work too. Fans need their Puma and I like to keep them happy 🙂

Found an amazing restaurant and lodge in the woods too. Went straight to chasing waterfalls.

Yesterday was spent in Park City. I love it there. Cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. There was a huge market going on also. Had to constantly remind myself, I’m moving and can’t buy any more stuff! (Unless I can eat it). Sometime I’d like to stay there for a week or visit the Sundance festival when it’s happening. Oh, they also have Swede Alley there. Wonder if they named it after me? Or there’s another great Swede out there I don’t know about?

Finished the book ‘Blood Meridian’ by Cormac McCarthy. I think the book was OK, but if you are going to read a western, ‘Lonesome Dove’ by Larry McMurtry is like 10 times better I think. ‘Blood Meridian’ was partly great, but mostly I felt is was about riding in the desert with no water or food and scalping Indians and killing some other folks that got in the way…

I also bought a Kindle now. I love a physical book, but damn the Kindle is convenient. So much easier to hold when reading in bed. How funny is it that this is the book recommendation I got on it right way?

Cheers to another great week ahead! I’m off to Vegas on Thursday to visit a friend over the weekend 🙂

Salt Lake City, Utah

Been in Salt Lake City in Utah for exactly a week now. I spent a month and a half here last year around the same time and I love it. There’s a crazy heatwave here right now and it’s so hot.

One of my favorite places here is the gym. It’s huge and they have any piece of equipment you’re looking for. Or not looking for… I think this is the gym with the fittest people I’ve ever seen. Very motivating working out being surrounded by massive muscles and 6-packs hahahaaaa… Checking my gains!

My hair needed maintenance badly. Luckily while trying out a new coffee shop, I saw there was a hair salon upstairs in the building. What are the odds that it would be a great salon I thought. Well, after some Googling and reading reviews, I found out it’s rated as one of the best salons in SLC. And even more amazing was that they had a cancellation the next day and I got it! My plan was to just fix the roots, but as usual I got carried away…

What do you think? I love it! If you’re in SLC and need to fix your mane – Tallulah East Collective is the place!

Obviously I needed to capture some pics and video the next day. Nothing better than when the professionals fix your hair and it’s maintenance free for a couple of days. Better take advantage of that…

Also about 25min outside of town, there is this great farm where you can buy great meats, eggs, and raw milk. It’s called Utah Natural Meat & Milk. I like my meat grass-fed and hormone free! Best part was to say hi to the horses on the farm!

What I love the most here is the nature. There’s hikes everywhere and you don’t have to drive far to find a trailhead. Yesterday we hiked to Blood Lake and continued to Lake Lackawaxen. Pretty cool that there’s still snow up in the mountains. It’s a nice and easy trail but some annoying mosquitos around the lakes 🙂

There are so many great coffee shops here. Right now I’m sitting writing to you at The Honeysuckle Coffee Co. Their coffee is the bomb and they bake their own pastries which I can’t resist!

Oh, and if there’s any daddies out there – Happy Fathers Day to you! I’ll keep working for a bit more and I’m thinking about going to buy a Kindle. I love physical books, but with all the moving around, I hate leaving them behind.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and I’m going to leave you with the link to one of the best newsletters I subscribe to – https://jamesclear.com/3-2-1. His name is James Clear and he’s written the popular book ‘Atomic Habits’. I haven’t read his book yet, but I love his newsletters.

All the best, Puma

Last weekend in CDMX

My visit to Mexico is coming to an end. Would be even more sad if I didn’t know that I will be back in August 🙂 Tomorrow we are flying to Utan and staying with Ari’s family. Very excited about that since I love being there. More about Utah when I get there 🙂

In my last blog I wrote that I felt better on Sunday. But that was apparently a joke. On Monday I got a stomach flu and pretty much lived in the bathroom. You don’t need more details than that LOL… I tried charcoal powder, oregano oil and some pills from the pharmacy, but nothing helped. Finally called a doctor that gave me some stronger pills and felt better later that day already.

Felt good to emerge back to normal life and be out and about without scouting for a bathroom, just in case hahhaaa…

Also straight back to being a sleazeball!

I met a cool girl named Daniella. She knows all the good spots here and recommended a place name Boxque Teva. Wow, don’t even know how to describe this place. Like a hobbit place for adults in the woods. I felt right at home. Some architect built a bunch of similar houses here and the place is just amazing! 45min from Mexico City and a $10 Uber ride away. If you are here, you must visit this place!

And look at the room we stayed in! Like something out of Red Light District in Amsterdam hahahaaa…

On Thursday morning at 7.30 Daniella came and we did breathing exercises and then cold plunge like Wim Hof. I’ve never been able to stay in more than 20 sec. This time I sat in for 2 minutes! When I was able to relax just a little, it felt OK. But I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to being in ice cold water even though I’m a Finn.

I did enjoy the hot tub better at night time 🙂

I can’t wait to come back here! Here’s their website if you want to book a room or some activities they have 🙂 https://boxqueteva.com/

Also finished this book while sick – ‘Popular Hits of the Show Era’ by Ryu Murakami. Hmm, how to describe it. Violently funny. A male and female gang in Tokyo start killing each other. I thought it was a funny book and can recommend it.

Got our Covid tests done yesterday so we are allowed back in the US. All negative 🙂

Gonna do some shopping today and start packing. And obviously eat tacos 🙂

Stay healthy! Being sick sucks!

Kisses, Puma

Started the week…

…off strong, got sick in the middle of the week, but redeemed myself with Mezcal and cocktails last night. Slight headache this morning, but nothing that a couple of Ibuprofen and coffee couldn’t fix 🙂

Tried an amazing sushi restaurant called Sushi Kyo. A small place with limited seating around the bar where you watch the chef prepare your sushi. Sooo good and the bottle of sake was a perfect match 🙂

Added this place to my list of places where I want to eat – Boca llena Nasty Waffles! Right up my alley LOL…

Got some pics & video done before I called in sick…

Laid in bed for 3 days pretty much feeling sorry for myself. Only good thing is that I read 2 awesome books! Finished ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ by Hunter S. Thompson and damn it’s great! One of my all-time favorites. I love this book and laughed so hard while reading it. I highly recommend it.

Also read ‘Anxious People’ by Fredrik Backman. A clever book, funny and with great characters. A book that made me feel good while reading it. Can recommend it. (I have also read ‘Beartown’ by Fredrik and think it was even better than ‘Anxious People’.)

Yesterday I finally felt better wohoooo! Always makes me realize how important health is! Tried a new restaurant we’ve been wanting to go to last night – Lorea. Had the tasting menu, muy bueno, Mezcal tasting, and to top things off – a cocktail tasting. Very good all of it!

Look forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow. Also I’m switching apartments tomorrow. Same building, different floor. I’ll finish off with 2 cars I felt were very much my style 🙂

Wish you all a great week to come!

3 weeks…

…left in Mexico and trying to squeeze in as much as I can. Right when I feel like I’m getting a bit of a grip on the city, I walk and find new streets, restaurants, stores and cafes. Also accidentally found a crossfit gym only 5min from where we stay. Much more convenient having the gym around the corner, and this one is really nice. Pics from the last gym with Kira representing my t-shirt 🙂

Visited an art museum – Museo Jumex. Pretty cool stuff, but I think the museum next door (the cool building) will be better. On my to-visit-list….

While strolling the other day I saw this. The cat looked totally satisfied being carried around in this bubble hahahaaa…

Found a new hike for this weekend. It said online it would be hard. It was steep and when we were already tired from climbing uphill, we were told it was an other 3h to the top. Got huge fomo and will have to go back at some point to make it to the top. Still great views where we stopped for a break (smoke break for me) and turned around and stumbled downhill 🙂

Oh, this hang bridge could maybe use some looking over hahahaaa…

And I almost stepped on a snake. I like snakes by the way…

You have to balance a healthy life style with some cocktails every now and then in my opinion 🙂 A hidden great bar with great drinks. I highly recommend this place if in CDMX – Xaman.

Between excursions, gym, and drinking I was being my sleazy self 🙂 Can’t really call it work since it’s too much fun 🙂

I also finished the book ‘Mystic River’ by Dennis Lehane. Wow, highly recommend you to read this! Even if you have seen the movie which is also great! Went to a cool bookstore here and picked up ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ by Hunter S. Thompson. I can’t put the book down, it’s hilarious! I’m laughing so much when reading it, and I think it will be one of my favorite books of all time! Why show my bra? Good question… Sometimes I just get a feeling…

Going to do some Spanish homework now so I can impress Eliana on Wednesday. Hardly true, but hey, one can always try…

Have an amazing week you all!

Kisses, Puma

Volcano, twerk, dogs etc…

The highlight of the past week was a road trip to the Popocatepetl volcano, the second highest volcano in Mexico. We had booked a rental car, but that was cancelled a couple of hours before our trip. Apparently there were no cars available. Someone told us this happens a lot, even if you have a booking with confirmation. No worries though, jumped in Uber and 2 hours later we got to the town Amecameca.

Some of us taking the chance to nap on the way there 🙂 Obviously I capture and post that!

Dinner in town with dogs as companions. I always sneak them some food 🙂

Next morning we started early. Town was almost deserted…

After some negotiation with local taxis and drivers we got a deal to go up to the park by the volcano. Perfect weather and clear views. Many trails to choose from and only a small fee to enter the park and hike.

The altitude made it a bit exhausting, even though it wasn’t that hard of a hike. We loved it!

It’s a small town and we hadn’t booked a ride back, so took some time to find an Uber to take us back to Mexico City. Perfect 24h excursion! Hope to do some more hikes while here.

Now taking Spanish lessons from Eliana. Is it really harder to learn when you get older? I feel sorry for Eliana who has to repeat the same stuff like 10 times and next day I ask her again how I say something… And all the conjugations, female and male stuff, puh…

Also reading, Mystic River by Dennis Lehane. I love the movie and the book is really great.

Discovering more coffee places in the city and stumble on random stuff while out walking. Like this ‘shroom’ inspired art installation 🙂

Another class of pole dancing and twerking. Watch the video of the teacher – WOW! I wish I could twerk half as good!

https://videopress.com/v/2HOs9q6G?preloadContent=metadata

You didn’t think I didn’t work did you?

That’s it for last week. Tonight meeting with a seamstress here to hopefully create more Pussitive outfits 🙂 Twerk class tomorrow and then we’ll see what the rest of the week brings along 🙂

All the best from me to you!

Kisses, Puma

Going good…

Another week in CDMX has passed. It feels like time flies here. Trying to find a good balance between working, exploring, training, and trying all the coffee shops 🙂 Best part is that most coffee shops are setup with free wifi and places to work, so you get the best combo of caffeine and work!

This weekend we took an Uber to Coyoacan. It’s a historic center and a popular place for locals during the weekend. Of course there were weekend markets and I love going through them with all the different stuff they sell.

I also love visiting churches. Not for any religious reason, but just often find them very impressive inside. Sometimes it’s nice to sit and experience the silence inside. This one had a wedding going on 🙂

In Polanco I found one of the coolest stores I ever visited – Xinu. They make soaps, lotions, and perfumes. They give you a tour when you get inside telling you about the scents. They’re all natural and they have displays with flowers, leafs, roots etc that were used… I bought a lotion and will go back and get a perfume too. They smell incredible and make sure to visit this store if you’re in CDMX!

Perfect when you have girlfriends with you and who are always ready to snap pics with no complaints 🙂 They don’t even react when I do a topless #tittytuesday pic in the middle of the city or get tempted by a gold statue hahahaaaa… That’s the type of friends I love!

Last week me & Kira decided to try a pole dancing and a twerk class. Wow, so much fun! I’ve never been any good with the pole and let’s not even talk about twerking! There was some impressive people dancing and twerking. My skills were pretty much non existent. But I’m not giving up. Going back to pole dance tonite and hope to get a twerk class later this week. I will teach my ass to move!

It was also Annie’s last week here last week. We pre-celebrated her birthday at a restaurant the night before they flew back home.

Not just running around celebrating and twerking. Photos & videos are being made 🙂

Eating a bit much pan & treats over here so it’s a good thing the gym is close by 🙂 Sometimes just using my fellow gym buddies as punching bags too 🙂

Some more random pics from a cool bar, guys trying to cook, nacho libre masks at an other bar and a car I would like to own.

Excited for an other productive (hopefully) week here. Will keep working on Pussitive and my Spanish 🙂

Hope you are doing great don’t forget…

Hugs, Puma

Continuous fun in CDMX

I love Mexico City! It just keeps staying amazing here, and I’ve only managed to cover 10% of everything I want to see and do 🙂

The highlight this week was visiting some markets yesterday. First there was the craft market. Countless skulls and other bits and pieces. Four of us did a challenge. Who could buy the best stuff in 20min with only 200 pesos? You can see it on my IG stories now – @thepumaswede.

Then we hit a food market. WOW! Never thought I’d try eating a scorpion, but I did! Crispy! Not so bad when you washed it down with Mezcal. Obviously had to convince Eliana to have one too, but she just ate it like it was a candy hahahaaa…

https://videopress.com/v/f0oVHKrX?preloadContent=metadata

I always dreamt about smashing a piñata so when I found them at the market I had to get one! Will fill it up and smash it! Dreams do come true hahahaaa…

I was also encouraged by Kira to make a dance video for her TikTok. I agreed and was soon reminded how bad my coordination skills are and that I posses no rhythm. But it’s a shame if you give up, and we decided that a great spot was in the middle of a crosswalk with The Angel of Independence in the background. Here you go!

https://videopress.com/v/OFD4zlnH?preloadContent=metadata

Then convinced Annie she needed to join in. Only one movement which was enough for my brain to remember and execute hahahhaaa…

https://videopress.com/v/ARhxTPKm?preloadContent=metadata

The Angel of Independence, this great pair of wings, and a couple of happy locals 🙂

My goal has been to go to the gym Mon – Fri. I managed 4 days this week. The face of struggle…. At least Rocco rewards with some ear licks after!

I’m not always consuming grasshoppers or cockroaches. Love the food here! There was a tortilla soup in the ceramic doll. Little unclear about what the pandas were up to…

This weeks non TikTok/IG content 🙂

Sitting at yet an other great cafe drinking great coffee and updating you guys on here. Now we’re a total of 9 people here so will send a message out and see if anyone wants to comer with me 🙂 Throwing the few Spanish words I know out there 🙂

Hasta luego!

Mexico!

Wow, wow, wow, very impressed with Mexico City. Been here just over a week and I’ve only explored about 5% of the areas, restaurants, cafes etc. Every day I mark a new location in my Google maps to see.

The food is amazing! Haven’t had a bad meal here, and I’ve ate things such as street tacos, high-end restaurants, hamburgers, steaks , Thai food, and sushi.

I have about 200 pics of food, but I’ll spare you of those. Just a couple of favorites 🙂

Oh, they suggest grasshoppers on the guacamole here. Not bad when they’re ground up like this…

After reading about grasshoppers and how healthy they are, I bought some from a guy on the street. Only thing was that these were the whole grasshopper in one piece! Didn’t stop me from having them on my eggs in the morning 🙂 Only dared to put on a few though hahahaaa…

I didn’t expect the city to have so many parks and nice walkways. Very enjoyable to walk around and there’s a lot of walking going on!

There’s a lot of dogs here! I love it! Puerto Rico is full of cats, but here everyone has a dog. And they’re welcome in almost everywhere. My favorite dog is Rocco at the CrossFit gym I joined. He just can’t get enough attention. He is very much like me LOL…

And coffee! Endless great coffee places. I have a few favorites and there still are great places I haven’t tried…

Just so many cool places you find when walking around. My favorite way to discover a new city is to walk the streets. Not many people here speak English. I make myself understood with Spanglish and thank heavens for Google translate hahahaaa! Will start my Spanish lessons when my friend from Colombia gets here next week.

Talking about friends, there’s a bunch of them here now and I didn’t even now they were coming. A couple from US/Russia and friends from Puerto Rico arrived the other day. 2 more join us from US/Colombia next week too! Part of the group went to Pujol to try their tasting menu yesterday. It’s supposed to be one of the best restaurants here. We were not that impressed though, even if it was very good. We had to grab food after because we were not full.

That’s it for now. Busy week ahead and more exploring to do, but will try to update again next weekend 🙂

All the best to you!

Puma

Here, there & everywhere…

Since I loved Royal Isabela so much, I booked a stay there again when checking out last time. They’re so booked, so you need to plan ahead if you want to stay here. So relaxing and didn’t do much else than relax, read and visit the beach. And snapped pictures…

As I wrote earlier, I have this goal for this year to explore new spots in Puerto Rico. Sometimes they are only a walking distance away. Like this cool art museum MADMI – Museo de Arte y Diseño de Miramar. A friend pointed it out while we were out walking. Can’t believe I never knew about it. It’s 1 minute away from the grocery store I visit every week. But hey, better late than never… They had a fashion exhibit now about a Puerto Rican designer Nono Maldonado.

Cool stuff, but I think our Pussitive clothing is a bit edgier, hahahaaa…. Look forward to go see other exhibits there.

Had enough of my dark roots and booked the first available appointment at the hair salon. Was a bit worried when it seemed that the guy doing my hair was a bit too hyper. He seemed to take notice of everything and everybody except my hair. When washing my hair he showered pretty much all of me and not just my scalp. But when he was done, I loved the results. Maybe he was one of the guys who actually can do more than one thing at once hahhaaaaa…

Our neighbors cat Caramelo, that I’m slightly obsessed with, has started coming over to our place to visit. I was doing a phone interview with Sweden last week when Caramelo walked in. I got som excited I had to tell the lady interviewing me to hold on. She wondered if I was OK? I told her the neighbors cat just walked in and that had priority over everything hahahaaa…

Talking about cats, how awesome are my cat panties?

When not wearing cat panties though…

Working on my dips and tan in the park.

Got some reading done too. This book “Killers of the Flower Moon” by David Grann, was very good, sad and disturbing read.

Killers of the Flower Moon is a book about the Osage murders in Oklahoma. It tells stories of how these white settlers killed many members of the tribe for their oil wealth in the 1920s, and also details investigations into who was responsible.”

This book “When These Mountains Burn” by David Joy, was just mediocre in my opinion. The was some good parts, but it just wasn’t a page turner for me.

“Set in a small town in North Carolina, we meet Ray. He’s recently lost his wife and is dealing with his adult son who is a heroin addict. After being pushed to his limits, Ray devises a plan to rid his town of its head drug dealer.

This one “Blacktop Wasteland” by S. A. Cosby, was pretty good. A fast paste and exciting read.

“A husband, a father, a son, a business owner…And the best getaway driver east of the Mississippi.”

That’s it for now. On Monday I took a taxi at 03.15 am to the airport and flew to LA. Visiting Sandy and her family again. It’s a packed schedule as always. So much fun and tell you all about in my next post 🙂

Hugs, Puma
