Zion National Park

Happy Monday folks 🙂 Feels like I had a long weekend since we made a little getaway last week from Thursday to Friday. And it was awesome 🙂 It was me, my friend Linda from Sweden, Angel, Jennifer and Amanda.

First stop was in St George. When I visited the place last year, it was the first time I tried ‘beignets’. They are soooo good, so I told them that we have to make a stop there to make sure our sugar levels are kept up! Yeah, I know, I’m supposed to be sugar free, but aaaanywayyyysss… Obviously everyone loved them!

Caffeine levels had to be kept in check too and a pit stop at a state liquor store. If you are not an American reader, you might not know that in the state of Utah, you can only buy booze at these stores. Not just strut in to a gas station or a grocery store and buy your alcohol. We have the same thing in Sweden as in Utah…

We also made a stop at Gypsy Emporium which is a two story antique market. Such a cool place and unfortunately I forgot to snap pick of all the trinkets they had inside.

Finally made it to our cabin which was great. We ordered food and since it was vacay mode there was a separate order of deserts. I can easily say we overdid, bu the motto is always ‘go big or go home’!

There was also the game ‘Cards Against Humanity’, wine and then finishing the night in the hot tub before hitting our beds.

I apologize (not really), for my poor humor. There was this float thingy in the hot tub that I thought looked like a giant tampon. Too much time on my hands and this is what I came up with LOL…

I’m an early riser so I got up and made coffee. Amanda is a coffee connoisseur too, so we both had packed beans and french presses. I got to say the coffee on the porch in the sun was pretty damn perfect!

There was also goats on the property 🙂

Packed up and headed towards Zion National Park. Grabbed some breakfast and coffee in Springdale at Deep Creek Coffee. Cause there can always be another cup of coffee!

Found a cute store too and some purchases were made…

Then entering Zion National Park. Impressive mountains and had to make a lot of stops to take pics!

The road to the hike we had planned was unfortunately closed. Drove along and made a stop at an other spot and decided to see where the trail would take us. Guess we got lucky cause it was beautiful!

We made another stop and just enjoyed the views and the sun!

That pretty much concludes our little trip. It was so much fun and I’m very happy I have these great friends who are easy going, no drama and always up for an adventure 🙂

And yet again I’m making another attempt to stay of sugar! I know, I sound like a broken record! But here we go… Not too much planned for this week, but there is always shooting, we plan to check out some cool spots downtown and hit the gym and spa!

Adios from me and Hunter!

Sick, AZ Shoot, Utah…

It finally got me last week! The whatever flu that everyone seemed to be getting or have had. Didn’t feel too sick, but lost all energy for a couple of days. Rested, took baths, read, watched TV and napped with Hunter…

Then it was time to fly to Phoenix to shoot for a couple of days. The flight was so early I needed coffee as soon as I got to the airport!

I’ve heard about these self driving taxis and there were a bunch of them at the airport. So cool! Anyone ever gotten a ride in one?

Got to the location and 1st day was all about me, me, and more meeee!

When we were done shooting we were chilling in the pool with a great sunset as a backdrop and I crowned myself as the lost queen of Sweden…

When I travel and don’t know if there will be coffee, I bring these pouches of instant coffee. I get them from a specialty roaster so they taste a little bit better than the instant coffee from the grocery store…

Then Kayla came and I had to share the spotlight 🙂 We get a tad too excited at times when we work together, but we managed to pull it off before I was sent home 🙂

I also assisted Greg on a boudoir shoot here in Vegas. So much fun and I always learn a bunch from him. Since he is so nice he also came by one day to teach me some new tricks in Lightroom and how to use Evoto for editing photos.

This weekend me & a friend made a roadtrip to St George in Utah. Amazing scenery when you drive…

Got hungry and found a seafood joint called Rusty Crab Daddy. Sooo good and garlic-y 🙂

Saw a table order some desert and asked what it was. Apparently they’re called ‘Beignets’. Deep-fried pastry served hot with lots of powdered sugar. It might be one of my favorite desserts now! Holy moly they are tasty!!!!!

Rented an Airbnb on the outskirts of town and loved walking out to the trees and farm animals as neighbors!

And what do you think I had for breakfast? Tripplets of Beignets filled with different things!

And more coffee because there can never be too much caffeine…

Then drove to Pine Valley to hike a little and check the area out. One day I hope to go camping there, Quiet and tranquil.

I had some cool pose in mind, but I don’t think I nailed it hahahaa…

At a gas station there was these cute chicks for sale. Considered if Hunter would like a buddy, but I think he might use it as a toy, so no chicks for us… Other than human ones!

Heard about this pie place and since it was just across the street and I’m always down for a snack/treat, off we went. I had a raspberry/rhubarb slice and it made love to my taste buds! They had a map there where people visiting marked where they’re are from. Someone from Oulu, Finland had visited. That’s where my family is from. Very cool!

For dinner we hit their popular BBQ spot Pica Rica. A lot of stuff was already sold old, but got some tasty chicken tinga and pulled pork.

There was this funky bar called Spiritual around the corner. Finished the night off with a couple of cocktails 🙂

Awesome day all together and happy I didn’t step on this big toad when entering the house…

Packed up today and visited Snow Canyon State Park on the way to town. Great views of the red rocks and cool sand dunes…

Wanted more BBQ so went back to Pica Rica and had delicious ribs for brunch…

Only a 2h drive from Vegas and I will probably visit again 🙂 Going to look into renting an RV as I would love to camp out there…

Going to order some food and watch some TV with Hunter tonight 🙂 Next week got a couple of shoots planned and a massage so far. Got a ‘property evaluation’ too when they come and check that I haven’t torn the house down. Just saw that it’s Cinco de Mayo tomorrow. Maybe Hunter wants to celebrate since he’s Mexican after all. Will give him extra treats!

Got something fun to share?

All the best, Puma
