Continuous fun in CDMX

I love Mexico City! It just keeps staying amazing here, and I’ve only managed to cover 10% of everything I want to see and do 🙂

The highlight this week was visiting some markets yesterday. First there was the craft market. Countless skulls and other bits and pieces. Four of us did a challenge. Who could buy the best stuff in 20min with only 200 pesos? You can see it on my IG stories now – @thepumaswede.

Then we hit a food market. WOW! Never thought I’d try eating a scorpion, but I did! Crispy! Not so bad when you washed it down with Mezcal. Obviously had to convince Eliana to have one too, but she just ate it like it was a candy hahahaaa…

https://videopress.com/v/f0oVHKrX?preloadContent=metadata

I always dreamt about smashing a piñata so when I found them at the market I had to get one! Will fill it up and smash it! Dreams do come true hahahaaa…

I was also encouraged by Kira to make a dance video for her TikTok. I agreed and was soon reminded how bad my coordination skills are and that I posses no rhythm. But it’s a shame if you give up, and we decided that a great spot was in the middle of a crosswalk with The Angel of Independence in the background. Here you go!

https://videopress.com/v/OFD4zlnH?preloadContent=metadata

Then convinced Annie she needed to join in. Only one movement which was enough for my brain to remember and execute hahahhaaa…

https://videopress.com/v/ARhxTPKm?preloadContent=metadata

The Angel of Independence, this great pair of wings, and a couple of happy locals 🙂

My goal has been to go to the gym Mon – Fri. I managed 4 days this week. The face of struggle…. At least Rocco rewards with some ear licks after!

I’m not always consuming grasshoppers or cockroaches. Love the food here! There was a tortilla soup in the ceramic doll. Little unclear about what the pandas were up to…

This weeks non TikTok/IG content 🙂

Sitting at yet an other great cafe drinking great coffee and updating you guys on here. Now we’re a total of 9 people here so will send a message out and see if anyone wants to comer with me 🙂 Throwing the few Spanish words I know out there 🙂

Hasta luego!

Mexico!

Wow, wow, wow, very impressed with Mexico City. Been here just over a week and I’ve only explored about 5% of the areas, restaurants, cafes etc. Every day I mark a new location in my Google maps to see.

The food is amazing! Haven’t had a bad meal here, and I’ve ate things such as street tacos, high-end restaurants, hamburgers, steaks , Thai food, and sushi.

I have about 200 pics of food, but I’ll spare you of those. Just a couple of favorites 🙂

Oh, they suggest grasshoppers on the guacamole here. Not bad when they’re ground up like this…

After reading about grasshoppers and how healthy they are, I bought some from a guy on the street. Only thing was that these were the whole grasshopper in one piece! Didn’t stop me from having them on my eggs in the morning 🙂 Only dared to put on a few though hahahaaa…

I didn’t expect the city to have so many parks and nice walkways. Very enjoyable to walk around and there’s a lot of walking going on!

There’s a lot of dogs here! I love it! Puerto Rico is full of cats, but here everyone has a dog. And they’re welcome in almost everywhere. My favorite dog is Rocco at the CrossFit gym I joined. He just can’t get enough attention. He is very much like me LOL…

And coffee! Endless great coffee places. I have a few favorites and there still are great places I haven’t tried…

Just so many cool places you find when walking around. My favorite way to discover a new city is to walk the streets. Not many people here speak English. I make myself understood with Spanglish and thank heavens for Google translate hahahaaa! Will start my Spanish lessons when my friend from Colombia gets here next week.

Talking about friends, there’s a bunch of them here now and I didn’t even now they were coming. A couple from US/Russia and friends from Puerto Rico arrived the other day. 2 more join us from US/Colombia next week too! Part of the group went to Pujol to try their tasting menu yesterday. It’s supposed to be one of the best restaurants here. We were not that impressed though, even if it was very good. We had to grab food after because we were not full.

That’s it for now. Busy week ahead and more exploring to do, but will try to update again next weekend 🙂

All the best to you!

Mostly LA…

Had a great time in LA with Sandy and her family. When I’m there it feels like more happens in a day than in a week in Puerto Rico! We were on set 3 days shooting. Such a luxury to have Sandy do my makeup! I can do it OK myself, but a pro is a pro… Just look at these before and after pics.

And then there was the shoots…

My friend Nick who shot some of the pics joked that this was my payment… Well, at least I’m getting paid LOL!

Shot some Pussitive outfits too 🙂 By the way, the website is now live – www.pussitive.co. Be nice, first time for me making a website. Still needs some work, but I’m very proud of it 🙂 Also adding stuff every week, so keep an eye on it!

Love the dogs at the house, Snoopy & Fluffy. Fluffy looked passed out one morning and had to go check on him. He lazily opened one eye and wondered why I’m bugging him… OK, you can pass out again!

Love the kids too and it’s pretty much action from 07.30am until they pass out at night. Playing with Barbie’s, building Legos, drawing, playing hairdresser, hide & seek and other games until I passed out too! My favorite was getting my nails done though. I think there was more color on their shirts and table clothes than on my nails hahhaaaa…

Had some sushi and more Sake at the coolest rooftop restaurant in LA – Paris Tokyo by Azai Sushi. I behaved up until the end when the Sake got the best of me and had to reveal my canon balls!

Shot some stuff in my cool as* t-shirts too. You want one? Go to to www.dancebarnaby.com 🙂

And since I rocked an amazing makeup most of the time, thanks to Sandy, there was no shame in the amount of selfies I took! And I’m only posting half of them 😉

Me taking in some views in LA…

Got back to Puerto Rico and hit the beach right away! In my cool Pussitive hat obviously!

Did anyone get fooled on April 1st? This was my joke on IG. That I’ve gotten some new organic injections made of beans and goat milk. Half the people got the joke, others loved it or said I ruined my looks 🙂

Also went back to eat yet an incredible tasting menu at Orujo, Taller de Gastronomia. Wow wow wow! All new and different dishes. Loved it and if you ever plan to visit, make reservations a loooong time ahead since they’re fully booked up!

The cool thing is that there is a camera in the kitchen and it’s projected out in the restaurant so you can see what’s happening in there…

This is my last week in PR for a while. Taking off to Mexico City at the end of the week. I’m overly excited! Already checked out which restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, areas, spas, shops etc I want to go to. If you’ve been and have tips, please share 🙂

Now cramming this last week with stuff I need to finish. A lot of Pussitive stuff and then packing!

OK, time to get this week going! Talk to you from Mexico next time 🙂

Adios, Puma

Here, there & everywhere…

Since I loved Royal Isabela so much, I booked a stay there again when checking out last time. They’re so booked, so you need to plan ahead if you want to stay here. So relaxing and didn’t do much else than relax, read and visit the beach. And snapped pictures…

As I wrote earlier, I have this goal for this year to explore new spots in Puerto Rico. Sometimes they are only a walking distance away. Like this cool art museum MADMI – Museo de Arte y Diseño de Miramar. A friend pointed it out while we were out walking. Can’t believe I never knew about it. It’s 1 minute away from the grocery store I visit every week. But hey, better late than never… They had a fashion exhibit now about a Puerto Rican designer Nono Maldonado.

Cool stuff, but I think our Pussitive clothing is a bit edgier, hahahaaa…. Look forward to go see other exhibits there.

Had enough of my dark roots and booked the first available appointment at the hair salon. Was a bit worried when it seemed that the guy doing my hair was a bit too hyper. He seemed to take notice of everything and everybody except my hair. When washing my hair he showered pretty much all of me and not just my scalp. But when he was done, I loved the results. Maybe he was one of the guys who actually can do more than one thing at once hahhaaaaa…

Our neighbors cat Caramelo, that I’m slightly obsessed with, has started coming over to our place to visit. I was doing a phone interview with Sweden last week when Caramelo walked in. I got som excited I had to tell the lady interviewing me to hold on. She wondered if I was OK? I told her the neighbors cat just walked in and that had priority over everything hahahaaa…

Talking about cats, how awesome are my cat panties?

When not wearing cat panties though…

Working on my dips and tan in the park.

Got some reading done too. This book “Killers of the Flower Moon” by David Grann, was very good, sad and disturbing read.

Killers of the Flower Moon is a book about the Osage murders in Oklahoma. It tells stories of how these white settlers killed many members of the tribe for their oil wealth in the 1920s, and also details investigations into who was responsible.”

This book “When These Mountains Burn” by David Joy, was just mediocre in my opinion. The was some good parts, but it just wasn’t a page turner for me.

“Set in a small town in North Carolina, we meet Ray. He’s recently lost his wife and is dealing with his adult son who is a heroin addict. After being pushed to his limits, Ray devises a plan to rid his town of its head drug dealer.

This one “Blacktop Wasteland” by S. A. Cosby, was pretty good. A fast paste and exciting read.

“A husband, a father, a son, a business owner…And the best getaway driver east of the Mississippi.”

That’s it for now. On Monday I took a taxi at 03.15 am to the airport and flew to LA. Visiting Sandy and her family again. It’s a packed schedule as always. So much fun and tell you all about in my next post 🙂

Hugs, Puma

Some weeks are…

…just full of errands and appointments. When it comes to appointments, the only one I enjoy is a massage. I found this lady who massages and kind of puts a healing touch on you. Not sure how I feel about her chakra adjustments, but I let her have a go at it since I like relaxing there for 1.5h every week.

I also made an appointment at a gynecologist. Good to check the “equipment” and get the annual pap smear test for cervical cancer done. As I’m lying in the chair spreading my legs, the male gynecologist looks at me and says; -“I think I know you”… Well, turns out we used to go to the same Crossfit gym. It was a bit strange having a conversation about training while he’s digging between my legs and pointing at the ultrasound hahhaaaaa… I was just happy he didn’t find a baby in there 😉

He was also very pedagogical and even pulled out a vagina model explaining something that I don’t remember any more…

Also went to the dentist and he reported no issues – yay! Still dealing with the DMV and trying to renew my drivers license online, but hopefully I will get it sorted asap.

This week we also launched my new Puma Swede t-shirt line. I love them and there will be more girls and designs coming. If you want your own, visit https://dancebarnaby.com/

Content had to be created… People need to be satisfied 🙂

Hit the park for workouts. I also tried to adjust my eating habits. I think this is the first week in a veeeery long time I’ve gone without eating any chips. I LOVE CHIPS! Even held a bag in my hand in the store yesterday, and then repeated 5 times in my head – “put it back, put it back…” and I left the store without any chips! I just want to get over my habit of treating myself to an overdose of sugar & chips every weekend.

Called Baywatch and suggested they make a Puerto Rican version… Look, I’m ready!

Hope you are doing great wherever in the world you are 🙂

Hugs, Puma

Pussitive Clothing

I thought I’d give you an update how it’s going with our clothing line – Pussitive.

I love being creative, and I have a need for a creative outlet where I get to use my hands. For the past year I’ve been buying clothes and pimping them out. Building them up with patches, feathers, bling, and paint.

I get so excited over my own creativity and ideas. I think I’m like the next Jean Paul Gaultier, and see models on a catwalk wearing Pussitive, camera flashes going off, red carpet being rolled out… And then I have to bring myself back to earth. Sometimes I have to reassemble the patches, the colors don’t feel right… Doubt hits me – is it really that good? I go back to reworking it. Most of the time I go “wow”! Who wouldn’t want to wear this?  I know, I have the confidence of my friends 5 year old, who’s convinced she’s going to be a rockstar.

Through trial and error I’ve learned to stop being too cocky and cutting without measuring first. There are holes that have become too big, shirts too short, and me wondering why I cut something in the first place. Patience is not my strongest virtue! I’m getting better though.

Now I’m in the midst of creating a Shopify store. They always make it sound like you’ll have a website ready with just a couple of clicks. Yeah right… Links don’t work, the navigation is all wrong, pictures are the wrong size… But after getting frustrated and having a coffee, I have to admit that it’s mostly myself f*cking up. Hard to admit, as I wish I could blame Shopify for not making it user-friendly enough hahahaaaa…. It’s getting better each day, and I’m excited to share it when it’s ready. My goal is to have it ready this month, fingers crossed. I have to put it out there so I put some pressure on myself 🙂

I shot my friend Masha in a couple of pieces last week. So much fun being behind the camera, and Masha looked superb! If she doesn’t want to become a Doctor, I told her she should be a supermodel!

It’s also great to see the clothing on someone else. But when I don’t have Masha around, I make the best of it by myself 🙂

What you think? Much more to come, but please give feedback and make sure to follow us on IG @pussitive_.

Everything is possible if it’s Pussitive!

Exploring & Tasting PR

I’m continuing to explore Puerto Rico. On my wishlist has been staying at Royal Isabela hotel. I finally booked 2 nights there and all I can say… WOW! The hotel has 20 freestanding casitas and a private beach you can hike down to. My favorite thing to do was to wake up in the morning, sit in my private backyard, drink coffee, and watch the ocean.

On the second morning when tanning by the pool this lizard came strolling by. He drank out of the pool and then strutted along… Maybe my naked butt offended him hahahaaa…

The beach was a 10 minute hike down. It’s a 2 mile long beach and I never saw any other people there. This place is paradise on earth! There were enough Kodak photos ops of the ocean, waves, and palm trees for a lifetime. I tried creating Sports Illustrated photos while wrestling a giant palm leaf… Very fabulous if I may say so myself!

A couple of more pics. The restaurant at the hotel was pretty good too. Great views over the hotels’ golf course, and me throwing down some poses, nothing new there 🙂 Maybe just the new bikini which was probably more suitable to fit a Barbie than a human!

I liked it so much that when checking out, I asked for the next availability. They are very booked, but I got 2 nights in March!

After Isabela we drove down to Rincon. Booked a great Airbnb spot there. Rincon is a chill beach town and supposed to have great surfing if that’s what you’re in to. Found this little farm-to-table spot called Sana and the food was soooo good! I’d eat here every day if I could!

Checked out town at night. Tried a restaurant, but it just felt overrated and overpriced so not going to mention it.

In the morning this cat was peeking in to the airbnb apartment. Me running over instantly offering cuddles, but it mostly seemed to want food… Or maybe he just checked out the weirdo human posing in front of the mirror hahhaaaa….

A new taste experience last week was at a new restaurant that just opened up here in San Juan. Triple WOW on the experience! It’s called Orujo, Taller de Gastronomia. The chef comes out and welcomes you like you’re at home. There’s no menu and he doesn’t tell you how many dishes he’ll serve. Something between 14-20 he said. He told us the story about how he and his wife started serving food to friends first, and how they ended up here with this restaurant. All the dishes were incredible and I will definitely eat here again! My food photography is not the best so check out their IG @orujotaller to see all the cool stuff they make! There’s a pic of baby eels I thought was noodles, until the chef pointed out the ‘noodles’ had tiny eyes!

Read a great classic book and I can see why it’s a famous. “The Day of the Jackal” by Frederick Forsyth. Such an exciting read about how this man was planning to execute the president of France. The planning, details, police work, suspense… If you need a great and exciting book, this is it.

Talking about books. Not sure you know I wrote a book? “My Life as a Pornstar”. Great read if you ask me, hahahaaaa… You can get it on Amazon as a paperback or the Kindle version. I also now signed a deal for it to be released as an audiobook in Finnish too 🙂 Hello, Pulitzer prize anyone?

I have more pics and stuff to write about, but Masha the Russian just called and wants to go paddle-board and I need a tan so bye for now…

Hugs, Puma

3 weeks…

…into 2021. How’s it going? I’ve kept being very productive which I’m happy about. I also made a resolution to try new spots here in Puerto Rico. So far I’ve tried 2 new restaurants, 1 new bar, and finally went to the Puerto Rican Art Museum.

The Art Museum is really close and so cool. Can’t believe I haven’t made it there before. So worth a visit if you’re in town!

Pretty cool to see this Miss Universe thing at the Museum as well. I loved watching Miss Universe as a kid. I even had some thoughts that I might win the crown myself one day. Always dream big hahhaaaaa… According to the note here, Puerto Rico has had 4 Miss Universe titles. I just Googled it too and PR has actually won 5 titles! “The Miss Universe pageant began in 1952 and since then Puerto Rico has had 21 representatives classify in the finals, including 5 winners, 8 runners-up, 6 finalists and 2 semi-finalists. With 5 wins, Puerto Rico is the third country with the most wins behind USA (8 wins) and Venezuela (7 wins)”

A lot of shooting! Found an amazing photographer to shoot some Pussitive stuff. Waiting to get more pics, but here’s a couple.

Too bad there’s not always a pro photographer around. Sometimes you just have to do with yourself and a self timer! (And a couple of filters…)

And then there are the pics with less clothing and more “action”…

Still working out in the park. It’s going to be hard to go back to working out indoors. But when it gets hotter it will be nice when they blast that AC! Masha the Russian is a yoga pro and I try my best to even reach my big toe!

One of my favorite things here in Puerto Rico is all the animals you see out. On our street there is a cat lady. She has about 15 cats. They are always peeking down at you. The lady always explains to me which cat is mom to who, which ones are brothers etc… My favorite is this white one. Pretty sure it’s a mom… Or a sister… Or is this one a male?

And our next door neighbor has a cat too now. His name is Caramelo.

Took a new found friend on the walk around the fort the other day. There were so many iguanas! Never seen so many in one day. Obviously I tried to make them come to me and just as obviously they didn’t give a shit about me!

As much as I love animals, I wasn’t impressed finding this one in the bathroom one night! I never seen a spider this big here in Puerto Rico! Saw them in Bali, but didn’t know there are spiders like this one here.

My new found friend, Annie, took me to a bar I’ve never been to after our walk around the fort. It’s in Old San Juan and called The Canon Club. Really cool place and the drinks were great! There’s canons, parrots, a pool and they sometimes have bands playing there. Actually went there last night too because it’s just that great of a place 🙂

Me before The Canon Club and all the drinks… I could still stand and sit straight LMAO 😉

This is my shoe after last nigh…

Always reading and finished A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. This is an amazing book! One of the best/well written books I ever read. It just makes you feel so good! Read it!

What else? Oh, went to the tailor who helps me with the Pussitive clothing. Our communication is pretty limited because his English and my Spanish aren’t great. But we manage and I understood when he offered me a shot of these homemade Dominican specialties. I chose the one with bark inside and my throat burned the whole walk home. Need to get a bottle hahhaaaaa…

That’s about it. Taking and making a mini vacation next week. Trying out a nice hotel and (road) tripping a bit 🙂

All the best, Puma

Happy New Year :)

How has 2021 started out for you? I hope you’re off to a flying start 🙂 I’m very happy to be back in PR after Sweden. Warm weather (perfect temperature right now), sun and it doesn’t get pitch black at 3pm! The first thing I did when I got back was going to the beach and swimming in the ocean!

My New Years Eve was very chill with a touch of jetlag. Took a walk around the lagoon first. I guess wind was blowing 2020 out of the way…

Spotted this amazing iguana eating something…. It’s on my bucket-list to befriend one of these and feed it!

Had to take a nap in the middle of the day so I wouldn’t feel like a granny and pass out before midnight hahhaaaa… My friend Sandy posted this one on IG and it’s too accurate!

Cooked lobster and gambas for dinner. It was soooo good and I think I’ll splurge on a lobster more often from now on 🙂

So all in all, life is muy bueno in Puerto Rico 🙂 But Christmas in Sweden was great too! Except for the grey and rainy weather and it getting dark at 3pm. One of my favorite spots when in Sweden, is a cafe called Lisas Grabb. Everything is baked fresh in the morning and the saffron ‘semlas’ are the best! Linda and I literally stuffed our faces!

Loved spending time with my sister!

We didn’t just drink and look alike. We also worked hard on Pussitive (IG @pussitive_). We did a photoshoot with this great Swedish guy, Peter Englund. He is very creative and makes clothes himself, so it was like playing around in a grown-ups playhouse. A couple samples of our stuff…

And I played around in some of the gowns Peter has created too.. wow! Just need to get invited to a premier now!

On the 25th we finally got snow in Stockholm! We had decided to take a walk and burn off a couple of calories after devouring all the Xmas foods. Love when it snows like this! Even though I could barely see hahahaaa…

When in Sweden I usually give my wrinkles a fight too. Get in my face Botox!

Put some curlers in one night in case I got invited out. But no one called so stayed home with curls…

Finished a couple of books too during the holidays. First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. 1st book was just OK, but got more exciting in the end. Book 2 & 3, very good. If anyone else read these, did you notice that there were a lot of people being chopped in half from their head down to their waist? Pretty gory at times, but I tend to like that 🙂 Can recommend these…

Bought Kepler’s ‘Spegelmannen’ in Sweden. They usually appear in English too. Very exciting crime/thriller/suspense books and I read all of their books. It’s a couple who writes them together…

That’s it for now. This week I will be caching up on my shoots, working on Pussitive, get back to working out, ugh… I’m already in pain after one workout in the park on Monday hahhaaaa.

Laters, Puma Swede

Ho ho ho…

How’s your Christmas going? Did Santa bring you anything? Or did you surprise someone with an awesome gift? I had a mellow Christmas Eve with my sister, nephew and a couple of other people. Since couple of years ago, we’ve decided on no gifts. Just to enjoy each others company and to stuff ourselves with good food 🙂

Last minute shopping for snacks…

Here is a short recap from my 1 week stop in LA before I continued to Sweden. I always stay there with one of my best friends – Sandy. I love her kids and family and always say they are my extra family. One of my constant companions when I was at their house was Snoopy. Nothing better than waking up to a dog breath on your face hahhaaaa… Fluffy is the little white dog respecting private space.

Threw in some work too. Perfect when you’re bestie is a superb make up artist and makes you look 10 times the better version of yourself 🙂

Even though we had a busy schedule, we managed to squeeze in a couple of hikes, walks and a couple of squats and push ups. I’ve realized that with kids you need to plan your time. Can’t just take off when you feel like it. They need to be fed and stuff… I think I’ll just rent my friends kids per hour if I ever feel I need some kids in my life hahhaaaa…

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

While I was in LA they enforced stricter restrictions and pretty much everything closed down. I really wanted to fix my hair and had booked an appointment. Salons closed down though, but luckily Joan could come to the house and fix me up.

Last day, when I’m ready to head to the airport, we finally snap a selfie together with Sandy. We laughed cause we been together pretty much 24/7 and not taken even one pic of us together. Thankfully there is Snapchat filters. I was pretty worn out after a week of playing with Barbies and doing more in a day than I do in 3 days in Puerto Rico lol.

Got a ride from Sandy and the kids to the airport. It’s always sad to hug and say good bye. Always wish we had a week or 2 more together. Hopefully not too long before I go visit my LA family again though 🙂

Got a meeting now and then a dinner with friends tonite. Hope you are in a festive mood and here’s a holiday kiss coming your way 🙂
