Let’s talk boobs!

Recently I found out that the type of breast implants I have, have been recalled. They are the textured kind from the company Allergan. Below is some text that I copied about what is happening: https://medtruth.com/articles/legal-developments/allergan-lawsuit-breast-implant-cancer-risk/

“In September, the FDA asked Allergan to issue a sweeping recall of its Biocell Natrelle textured breast implants, warning of an increased “risk of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a cancer of the immune system.”

“For decades, Allergan knew that its recalled implants were six times more likely to cause BIA-ALCL, but it continued to market these products, seemingly with little regard for the well-being of its users,” plaintiffs’ attorney Beth Fegan said.”

It’s fucking scary thinking that the company Allergan has had knowledge about this and kept it hidden! Today I went to my surgeon Charles Randqvist at Victoria Kliniken here in Sweden. I wanted to find out more and get advice on what I should do with my implants.

Dr Randqvist is one of the best and most well-known plastic surgeons in Sweden. He educates other surgeons around the world, and I have had 3 boob-jobs done by him. I have total confidence in Charles and have referred friends to him. After checking my breasts today he said they are fine, but do I want a product in my body that can cause cancer?!? Something to consider is that genetics might be why some people have gotten problems with these implants. Statistically I’m more likely to get cancer or die from another cause than my implants.

What is very annoying in this is that Allergan is not paying or compensating patients to remove or change their implants. As an example: You buy a car and the manufacturer says there’s been a recall on the model you bought since the brakes sometimes fail. But hey, you can keep driving it because not all people have problems with their brakes. But if you do want new brakes, you have to pay full price for the new brakes! Allergan does offer the clinics to give them another type of their implants for free, but I would still have to pay for the surgery. I don’t trust Allergan and don’t want any more of their implants! I guess I’ll have to get another companies implants, and will have to pay full price. I will most likely change my implants in the beginning of next year.

I also spent time talking to Dr Randqvist about how many people today offer very cheap breast and other types of surgeries. Deals to fly to some other country to get a better deal. Influencers promote surgeries and injections, but very seldom talk about the risks. Young people might not have the money and are looking for the cheapest deal. What they forget to consider is – how much does it cost if something goes wrong? What if there are problems and complications? Is there a warranty? Check-ups after surgery? What Charles told me is that there’s been a huge increase in people, not just young people, who come to him and he has to redo their surgeries because they’ve gone horribly wrong. So you got a cheap deal, but now you are paying more money to fix the mistakes and undergoing another surgery. Time off to recover, time off work, etc.

Some people consider Victoria Kliniken and Charles to be expensive. They forget to consider that he offers a warranty on his procedures. Regular check-ups and overnight stays. Last time I stayed 2 night since they thought one of my surgery scars was bleeding a little too much. Charles has also refused more injections in my lips since he thinks it will not look good on me. He did not recommend me 800cc’s and told me about the risks – no running around with no bra, they’re heavy and may sag if I don’t wear support during night too, rippling etc. That is what I consider a professional who also tells me no and tells me about the risks!

I get nothing from Dr Randqvist for writing this (I wish I got free boobs LOL). I get a lot of emails from women who ask about my boobs. They ask about clinics and I always recommend Charles. I tell people to wait a year if they don’t have the money for the reasons I stated earlier!

To finish this long post off I want to tell you about a video Charles showed me. A young girl went abroad for a deal on breast surgery. She came back to Sweden and the complications began. She came to Charles with an open wound as big as a tennis ball under her right breast. Other clinics in Sweden had denied her help. Her friend contacted Charles and begged for help. In the video the implant is pretty much hanging out of her breast. He was able to just grab it and pull it out. It was a horrid video. The clinic abroad did not offer her any type compensations and could not help her they said.

So ladies, please consider your surgeries/fillers etc well if you decide to have them. Research the surgeon and the clinic. Compare them. Ask questions – do they offer warranty, check ups, overnight stay, what are the risks etc. If you have any questions, just write me a comment here and I will happily answer. I love boobs!
