Happy Holidays :)

I’m already confused about the days. I might of mentally entered the holiday season. I thought yesterday was Monday all day, and that my sister is arriving tomorrow until she called, and told me I better be at the airport tonight to pick her up…. ooops. I also had to cancel a restaurant reservation I thought I had made for tonite, but it turns out that in my confusion I had made it for tomorrow…

But before the holiday stuff, there were preparations. Both good and bad. Had a day with Angel when we got some Botox touch ups, took her dogs to the park and then some shopping. Mostly for ourselves, but that’s the safest way to guarantee you get what you want from Santa 🙂

This also required a trip to IKEA to buy some pickled herring (for my sis, cause I don’t eat that), lots of chocolates, that I already finished, and then you end up buying like 10 other little things that you probably don’t need…

Since I know I won’t have much time for the gym when my sister is here , I tried to maximize it last week. Even got a 2h pickleball clinic in. Starting to get some stamina and strength back finally. And I’ve been able to taper down on the steroid pills from 15mg to 10mg yeay!

The bad stuff? I started feeling a bit of tooth pain. Ignored it, as it was just like once a day. But then on Saturday it felt pretty bad and I started searching for emergency dental places. Don’t feel like dealing with tooth pain during the holidays and I’m guessing most places are also going to be closed. Found a place and got an appointment. Turns out my wisdom tooth had a huge cavity. I assumed I would get an appointment to remove it for an other day. The nice dentist said he can remove it right there and then. I told him I’m not mentally prepared for that. He was so nice and said he would talk me through it and it shouldn’t be hard. I finally agreed with the nurse holding my hand through the procedure. It actually went really smooth for once hahhaaaa…

OK, some holiday stuff should be appropriate now. Managed to find a willing Santa, to force a Christmas hat on Hunter and some other Christmassy stuff 🙂

Hunter loves the neighbors decorations though. Also he has some semi friendship with the neighbors cat. Hunter goes to their cat door waiting. But when he does come out, they get close, but not too close LOL…

Sandy arrived yesterday with her kids. So great to have them over. No time to waste, so we took off for some ramen and did the Enchanted light garden at night. The light maze was cool, but the hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows was the sh*t 🙂 Pics coming. Just haven’t had time to catch my breath (or nap), since today we been running around all day too. Just got home, recharging and then we’re going to pick my sister up and head to dinner 🙂

International Market, tree climbing & decorating…

Feeling the holiday vibes yet? I finally ordered a shiny Xmas tree (couldn’t resist) and put it together. I haven’t got a pictures of it at night when it’s lit up yet. Looks fab! Just a pic of me piecing it together and Hunter supervising 🙂

Also helped Angel decorating her tree 🙂

We think we did so good that we deserved to be rewarded for our efforts. Off to the International Market we went. I love poking around in there. Anyone up for some blood or a pork uterus perhaps?

Favorite section is without a doubt the candy section! I bought some Swedish ‘knäckebröd’ to put some ham on, some herring for my sister, lingonberry jam for meatballs and candy. My sister is spending Xmas and New Years here so got to have some Swedish/Finnish stuff on the table. I never tried herring and don’t plan to… What’s your must haves for the Christmas dinner?

Knocking out pics and vids too. Tried to engage Hunter into the Christmas spirit, but as usual he gave zero f*ucks!

One night I was outside with Hunter patrolling our street. This is a nightly routine we have. He always looks up the tree outside our house. He sometimes runs up looking like he’s going to climb it, but never does. So I decided to lift him up to see what he would do. Well, he took off climbing. I got nervous that he might not be able to make it down and started forming a plan how I would get up there to rescue him. He made it down on his own luckily!

When not climbing trees, he oversees me or sleeps next to me…

Did an other attempt in the cryo chamber. Lasted 1 minute. The girl that stays in the room while you’re inside, said that I should really try to stay inside the whole 3min to get the full benefit from it. So now that’s my goal for next time! Have to find that Finnish ‘sisu’ I’m suppose to posses somewhere…

Last night I went to a holiday party with Angel. Ate like a champ, lost in the games we played and finished up by making s’mores by the fire pit.

Saw these awesomely decorated houses when walking Angels dogs. One year I hope to decorate my house like these!

On my 2nd cup of coffee now. Considering the gym or cleaning up the house a bit. Or maybe read… Don’t have too many plans for next week. Maybe some Xmas shopping, throw in a bit of work, hit the gym + pickleball and next Sunday Sandy is coming to visit from LA, yeay! What are you up to? Shopping gifts? Decorating? Whatever your plans are, me & Hunter wish you fantastic week 🙂

Fasting, Car Trouble, Blond again…

My biggest achievement this week was getting through a 72h fast! I tried a juice fast a long time ago and lasted about 6h before caving in. I have very bad willpower when it comes to food and sugar. I read about fasting and the benefits and decided I needed to give it a try and practice some mind control on myself. I did have 1 avocado at lunch since I’m taking the Prednisone pill and it needs to be taken with food. I also had 1 cup of black coffee in the morning and drank lots of electrolytes throughout the day. I can say that it wasn’t that bad. Had some moments when I felt very hungry, but they passed. I had a lot of energy which surprised me. Probably because my digestion didn’t have to work so much. I will try to do this about once a month, but I’ll have a cup or 2 of bone broth daily. Very proud of myself 🙂

I forgot to tell you that last week I also tried a Hyperbaric Chamber for the first time. It was very relaxing. You just have to pressurize your ears in the beginning and in the end when the pressure builds up and is released. You also have an oxygen mask on when the pressure is on. I was reading and took a short nap in there 🙂 I felt great after. I would totally sign up to do this regularly, but it costs a pretty penny! Have to save up or win the lottery first 🙂

I decided I wanted to go back to full blond mane again. I feel blond is me. For at least a little while now…

In the parking lot I saw a lady parked next to me eyeing my car. When I’m by my car she tells me I have a flat tire! Great! Haven’t had one in a while, but knew I had a spare tire in the trunk. I can do this I thought! Problem was that there was no ‘the thing that raises the car up’ in there. Called a service to come and do it. Waited forever and this was the 2nd day of fasting and considered breaking it and going to a restaurant and pigging out while I wait. Yes, felt a bit sorry for myself hahhahaa… Decided to find some willpower and the guy finally arrived like an hour later.

Turns out that my spare tire is f*cked too! He said it’s somehow mounted on wrong and doesn’t hold air. Luckily the flat tire was able to hold air so I could drive back home with it. Inspected the new blond hair when I finally got home and I love it!

Jennifer Dark was visiting from LA and staying with Angel. We were hanging out a lot. We managed to get some work done too. Can’t reveal too much since it’s for Xmas 🙂

Had a good pickleball practice and have managed to hit the gym too and not just get lost playing with balls 😉 In the 2nd picture I’m contemplating if there can be too much pink? Answer: no!

Beautiful day here in Vegas today and that is a call to get yourself outdoors! Quiet, peaceful, warm sun and some coffee, hard to beat! I feel the same peace and reset as I do after a mushroom trip…

So after you do a fast, especially a longer one, you are supposed to ease yourself in with food. I kind of failed at that part. I blame Angel and Jennifer! Last night we drove to Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo and picked up freshly made chocolate chip cookies and beignets! My stomach protested pretty hard,, but it didn’t stop me from buying these cinnamon rolls after hiking today and eating 2 in the car before even making it home 🙁 My mind control has a lot to wish for!

Other than that there’s me in the cold plunge, me living in my onesie, some pics from the neighborhood, me less and more clothed and Hunter loving our fur throw 🙂

Will hopefully get a Christmas tree put up this week, got a pickleball clinic tomorrow, and a Christmas party next weekend. And before I forget, it was Finland’s Independence Day yesterday so here you go! Suomi all the way!

Happy Holidays :)

Started my week off with pickleball. So much fun. I think my face is supposed to show excitement, but looks more like I got hit in the head with the raquet/paddle hahahaa….

I like to get my most urgent work done in the morning. And Hunter wants to get his morning cuddles in then too, and guess who wins?

Had friends in town and hauled them out to Red Rock to see the sunset… I’m pure fashion when I walk out of my house as you can tell!

Also tried Thai dinner at Lotus of Siam at Red Rock. Will definitely go back!

And they treated me to Peter Luger at Caesars. Wow, wow, wow… The crab cake and steak were superb.

Then it was time to cook for the Swedish/Finnish Xmas party. Too many balls to handle myself, so I brought in Angel to help me handle them. The recipe was in Swedish measurements so it took both our brains to convert and calculate measurements hahhahaaa… But let me brag a little, they were amazeballs!!!!

Got work done before partying, I tried to dress up Hunter and I didn’t feel the cooperation from him. He was supposed to wear a scarf too, but his neck is too chunky!

This one will have to do. So Happy Holiday season to you all from me and Hunter!

The Xmas get together was so much fun. Nobody tasted the ‘sill’, herring. I never tasted that in my life, so I don’t blame them. And you know you have a good time when you only find a couple of pics in your phone the next day. Some of the food and Amanda in her awesome cat sweater cuddling up to Hunter 🙂 I feel very fortunate to have such great fiends!

Catherine, my Swedish friend here, and her boyfriend, brought these incredible truffles and before passing out, I downed almost the whole box! Oh, since they love cats, they also brought Hunter treats 🙂

Amanda & Gorge brought coffee which I enjoyed with a candle from Angel. Angel’s Xmas gift had a lot of beauty products too, so I’m wondering if she’s trying to tell me something hahahaa…

Saturday was mostly spent recovering 🙂

Yesterday I headed out past the Valley of Fire with Kayla, Huggy the photographer and Marshall, the rope guy. We shot bondage stuff in the middle of nowhere in this abandoned factory place. Such a fun day and I’ll show you more pics when I get them. It was the first time I got tied up and suspended up in the air! Very cool and will definitely get more bondage stuff done with Marshall 🙂

Kayla gave me a Xmas gift and it cracks me up! I love when people get my humor!

It was a freezing day being buttnaked in the desert so what’s better than pizza at Settebello’s after!

Hunter and our neighbor’s cat Ocean have been making progress on a friendship. They actually were under the same car after eyeballing each other across the street for some time…

Hunter trying to make me understand he needs more food. Keeping an eye on me while he hides in the bushes and I work on the couch and I guess all that results in one of his naps 🙂

What are you up to during these Holidays? I plan to chill, see friends, eat and watch movies and then repeat all that 🙂 I hope you will have a great time whatever you are up to 🙂 I will also do a mushroom trip before New Years to reset myself for 2025 🙂

Feasting, Decorating & Shooting

Started the week by decorating Angel’s Xmas tree. I love Christmas and all the decorations and lights!

I tried decorating one of her dogs too, but she wasn’t as enthusiastic as I was 🙁

On Wednesday I had an interview with a Swedish radio channel. Because of the time difference, it was at 05.45 in the morning! I was barely awake until it was over hahahaaa… It was about me and Cyril’s experiences with mushrooms in Jamaica. Needless to say, I went back to bed after…

A lot of shooting and catching up with custom requests…

How was your Thanksgiving? On Wednesday I was invited to a Swedish guy’s house, Mattias, and his girlfriend Shay. Very nice couple and met some more Swede’s there and other fun people. In Sweden we drink ‘snaps’, but we substituted that for some Tequila shots 🙂

On actual Thanksgiving I went to Angel’s house. Had to pop by Costco for some stuff for my Swedish dessert I made and it was pretty loco there… I kind of got stuck in the candy section for too long!

We had fried turkey. First time trying that and it was delicious. Another super nice evening with great company 🙂 Left looking like I was 4 months preggo!

On Friday Angel and I shot with the great photographer Dean Capture. He shot me in like 2010 and he was as great now as back then! The shoot was Christmas themed and the video is hilarious! Some BTS pics. I have a tendency to insert myself in almost every shot hahhaaa…

We looked like 2 clowns after with our red lipstick covering half our faces! I believe that if you have naughty fun, it should show!

Hunter is not too impressed with the colder weather and spends most of his time on his heated blanket 🙂 He loves when I make little blanket covers for him that he can sleep under…

Been skipping the gym and going to go now. Way too many treats and I like the feeling of being drained of energy after. Next week I’m getting some fat injections in my face and hopefully I won’t bruise too much since I have a couple of shoots! Plan to get a Christmas tree too and decorate it. I already have Hunters sock ready 🙂

Merry Christmas :)

Today we’re celebrating Christmas here in Sweden wohoooo… And I guess it’s celebrated in some other Nordic and European countries as well. You gringos got to wait until tomorrow. The Santa is from Finland after all so I think we got it right 🙂 Aaaaanyways, I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, God Jul, Hyvää Joulua & ¡feliz Navidad!

Are you guys wearing Christmas sweaters by the way? I found this sweater in a thrift store and I think it’s pretty awesome. I think it’s gnomes from outer space, high on acid hahhaaaaa…

OK, I’m done wrapping my gifts and my sister is prepping her homemade mustard with whiskey. In a bit we’re heading out to some relatives and friends out in the woods. Look forward to relax and eat a lot of good Finnish and Swedish Xmas foods 🙂

Finland, Hair & Fiesta…

Let’s start with the most important stuff first. Wednesday was Finland’s Independence Day! For those who don’t know, I was born in Sweden, but my parents are Finnish. I put on Finland’s hockey jersey and put on some Finnish Christmas songs to celebrate 🙂 Paras Suomi!!!

I got my hair done. My friend Dayana is moving her salon so I had to go to a new place. The guy is Mexican, but lived 12 years in Sweden so we had a lot to talk about 🙂

I don’t know if it is because the weather is colder or knowing that it’s the end of the year, but I didn’t have much motivation to go to the gym this week. Only managed to find my way there twice…

Met up for lunch with Angel. He has a portable wash station in his car so we tried it on the street and it works great 🙂

Been working on my Christmas content and it’s coming along. Hunter wanted some Xmas content too!

My not so Christmasy stuff…

On Friday I had my little get-together and I made Swedish Christmas foods with Julieta’s help. Meatball sandwiches with a beet salad, salmon, ham and some other stuff. Bought a couple of cakes because I was too lazy to bake 🙁

I always plan to take more pics, but it’s so fun to chat with everyone and I forget. It was a super fun night that ended with some Abba karaoke songs, wigs came out, and I tried a pillow as a temporary butt-implant 🙂

That was pretty much the whole week. I had my dance class and I felt like I could bust some moves this time! Going to try to get an appointment for nails today and remove these long claws. Too much to maintain. Packing since I’m taking off for Sweden tomorrow night wohoooo… And lots of cuddles with Hunter since I miss him so much when I’m away. Julieta is coming to stay here with him so I know he’ll be in good hands 🙂

Staycation, health, Xmas

Finally feeling almost back to normal. Even went to a class at the gym yesterday and struggled through it. At night we had dinner with people from the gym. Most people speak Spanish so I did my best to follow along. Luckily there is always someone translating for me when I’m looking completely lost 🙂 Finished the night off with a Mezcal shot!

Oh, and one guy had this awesome tattoo of an alien handing out mushrooms.

Also got a Christmas tree and started decorating last night. I love the feeling of Christmas being around the corner. Hunter inspected the tree, and so far it still standing. Also forced Hunter to pose for some pictures with his Santa hat, and he was less than impressed by that. I’ll show you next week when I’ve chosen the pics where we both are most photogenic 🙂

I went on a small staycation in Coyocán last week. It’s very popular and a lot of tourists visit during weekends. I stayed at Mansión de Papilo. WOW, what a place!

There were peacocks strolling around and a cat or 2. The colors on the male peacocks are so vibrant. The females looked like regular turkeys next to them lol… And they had an albino peacock too!

I got a whole building to myself in the back. It even had this private pool for me. I hope I can go back soon because it was sooo nice and relaxing there. There was a full tree growing out of the bathroom…

I think I accidentally shot a picture of the toilet too, but now you know how that looks too hahahaa…

Before I left for the retreat I had a girl come over and give me a trippy set of nails. I loved them. I would do it all the time if it didn’t take so long. But pretty cool, or what do you think?

After the retreat I was sick and exhausted for a week. I didn’t do much else other than sleep, cuddle with Hunter, or watch movies. A lot of mornings Hunter and I watch the birds outside together 🙂

When I finally felt better it was time to put on some outfits and get to work…

Catched up with Milla, saw this cute dog, a huge spider, and then it’s just the regular selfies 🙂

I bought more lights for my Christmas tree, so I’m gonna throw them up. Tomorrow starting off with the gym and then going to get my hair done. I have Spanish and a dance class this week too, and on Friday I’m having some friends over for some Swedish Christmas foods 🙂 What are you up to?

What’s new?

Are you guys prepping for the holidays? What and where are you going to spend it? Doing anything special or no f*cks given? I got a bit homesick thinking of all the special Swedish foods we have for the holidays, the cold, snow and darkness. So what did I find? A Scandinavian holiday ‘something’ celebration in one of the WhatsApp groups. Turns out it was at a church with Christmas songs in Swedish, Finnish, and Danish. And the coolest part, the girls singing them were Mexicans and sang them perfectly. Very impressed! The other best part was that they sold ‘lussebullar’, cinnamon buns and Finnish ‘mustikkapiirakka’ which is blueberry pie. Obviously I bought a bunch and suddenly I wasn’t so homesick after all 🙂

Buuuut then yesterday morning I started craving again and googled where the IKEA store is here in Mexico City. Ordered an Uber and off I went. Bought so much Swedish candy that I had stomach pain the rest of the day. But it was well worth it hahhahaaa…

Also worked on Psychonaut Explorer shooting and created a Sale section on the website.

Found my way to the gym too and feel healthy and strong now 🙂 Also tried a new gym called Commando with my friend Dyana. It was awesome and felt like a morning disco with a workout!

Are you guys following the World Cup? There are a lot of Argentinians here in the City and they all seem to gather at this restaurant around the corner here and cheer the Argentinian team on.

And Hunter is doing great. I feel like I have a kid now. We love to chill on the balcony and take naps together. At night he expects his usual treat which is turkey slices with some Philadelphia cheese that I serve him on a napkin hahahaaa 🙂

Now going to eat some cured salmon and hit the gym. Going to do some Xmas gift shopping this week, work a lot, and then I have a small Swedish Xmas celebration with friends. I feel excited for this week and hope you will have an amazing week too 🙂

Ho ho ho…

How’s your Christmas going? Did Santa bring you anything? Or did you surprise someone with an awesome gift? I had a mellow Christmas Eve with my sister, nephew and a couple of other people. Since couple of years ago, we’ve decided on no gifts. Just to enjoy each others company and to stuff ourselves with good food 🙂

Last minute shopping for snacks…

Here is a short recap from my 1 week stop in LA before I continued to Sweden. I always stay there with one of my best friends – Sandy. I love her kids and family and always say they are my extra family. One of my constant companions when I was at their house was Snoopy. Nothing better than waking up to a dog breath on your face hahhaaaa… Fluffy is the little white dog respecting private space.

Threw in some work too. Perfect when you’re bestie is a superb make up artist and makes you look 10 times the better version of yourself 🙂

Even though we had a busy schedule, we managed to squeeze in a couple of hikes, walks and a couple of squats and push ups. I’ve realized that with kids you need to plan your time. Can’t just take off when you feel like it. They need to be fed and stuff… I think I’ll just rent my friends kids per hour if I ever feel I need some kids in my life hahhaaaa…

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

While I was in LA they enforced stricter restrictions and pretty much everything closed down. I really wanted to fix my hair and had booked an appointment. Salons closed down though, but luckily Joan could come to the house and fix me up.

Last day, when I’m ready to head to the airport, we finally snap a selfie together with Sandy. We laughed cause we been together pretty much 24/7 and not taken even one pic of us together. Thankfully there is Snapchat filters. I was pretty worn out after a week of playing with Barbies and doing more in a day than I do in 3 days in Puerto Rico lol.

Got a ride from Sandy and the kids to the airport. It’s always sad to hug and say good bye. Always wish we had a week or 2 more together. Hopefully not too long before I go visit my LA family again though 🙂

Got a meeting now and then a dinner with friends tonite. Hope you are in a festive mood and here’s a holiday kiss coming your way 🙂
