Aloha :)

Hawaii was great and I could’ve stayed a couple of more days there 🙂 Didn’t feel I had a reset after the Holidays, but now I feel I’m ready to take on 2026!

Didn’t have time for the gym as I planned or a proper meal at home before leaving. I don’t know how I planned my time and had to resort to a pizza at the airport before flying 🙂

The flight from Vegas to Honolulu was about 6,5h. Got picked up by my friend and got a beautiful lei 🙂 I learned that you are supposed to keep the lei on as long as you are with the person that gave it to you. It might be considered disrespectful to take it off. Also not to throw it in the trash, but rather discard it in nature…

The next morning I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Needed to move and walking is the best way to discover new places I believe. Loved to step out in the warm weather and being so close to the ocean!

Spotted these geckos or lizards in a tree. They looked like something created by AI since they were so vibrant! Hunter would’ve loved to snack on one 😉

Got burgers at Teddy’s for lunch. The umami fries were soooo good!

Then we packed in the kids in the car and hit the beach. Felt good to get into the ocean again!

Got home and we went for another longer walk. I like when you are with friends who enjoy same things as you do 🙂

Barely had time to wash the sweat, beach and salt off me before it was time for dinner. We went out for dinner at Arancino. Very very tasty! My favorite was the squid ink pasta with lobster.

Next morning a coffee shop visit at The Curb. I get so happy when I get a perfect latte!

Another day, another beach 🙂 This one is called Kailua Beach and was my favorite out of the two. It was so still and their babysitter bought me a floatie that I could float around on 🙂

Also got busy digging water canals and making sandcastles 🙂

The beach knocked me out and I took a nap after. Then went to a grill and picked up some grilled garlic shrimp for dinner.

On Saturday we hit the Kuliouou Trail. Got pretty steep and hot closer to the top, but we made it! My friend kept the pace at super-speed and it probably would’ve taken me at least 20min more to the top! The reward was beautiful view and a little breather, before it was time to speed downhill!

Drove into Waikiki for lunch. I had some fresh tuna poke and it was delicious!

Dinner was a great Korean BBQ place called Hangang. Great place and food, and I ate like a champ 🙂

Had time for a walk in the morning before it was time to pack up and go to the airport. Very happy with the trip and like I said, could’ve used a coupe of more days there easily!

I guess pink was the theme for Sunday as this was me at the airport 🙂

Almost forgot, finished a book on this trip. It’s called ‘The Great Alone’ by Kristin Hannah. I had a hard time to put it down. Very exciting and intense. Loved that it takes place in Alaska that is on my bucket list to visit. This is a caption from Google – ‘A desperate family (Ernt, Cora, and Leni Allbright) moves to the isolated Alaskan wilderness for a fresh start, only to find the external environment less threatening than the father’s deteriorating mental state and abusive behavior due to his Vietnam War trauma. Survival, domestic violence, resilience, the mother-daughter bond, and the wildness of both nature and human nature.’

I started another book by the author now called ‘Winter Garden’. Haven’t read that much and it seems good, but not as great as the one I read. Will see if I continue or switch books…

This week I’m getting my a$$ back to work and the gym! Need to detox from sugar which will be very hard, ugh! I plan to do an other 72h fast starting on Friday or Saturday. I tend to loose all my willpower come the weekend, so I thought it be smart fasting then 🙂 I got ribs and a pork butt in the smoker now so I’ll get my proteins!

All the best, Puma

Sweets & Treats, Sis & Hockey…

Hope that your 2026 has started in the best way! I can’t complain. Been running around town with my sister, did a 2 hour pickleball clinic, and expected Finland to win gold at the Junior Hockey Championships! Spoiler, they didn’t!

First off, NYE with Angel, Sophie Marie & some other peeps that didn’t make it into the pic.

Managed to stay awake until midnight with the help of some Margaritas and these delicious bites Angel made. Yes, we finished the whole tray!

Here is Hunter strolling into 2026 🙂 He also did not approve of my party blowers that I used for my New Year’s greeting video and decided to try to massacre it with his 4 teeth that he has left. That was enough action for him on the first day of 2026.

My sister and I worked on some clothing and added some of the new bling patches we bought in LA. Under the supervision of the ruler of the household! Hunter got his own Xmas tree decoration from my sister which he appreciated.

Happy to start the New Year with a 2h pickleball clinic. Bunch of people playing and you rotated around based on your skill level. Played with some fun ladies pretty much for 2h straight…

That gave me an appetite and I took my sister to North Italia. Working on being healthy again will just have to wait a little. We decided after pizza and pasta to have some dessert, and we were pretty close to licking the plate and bowl clean since it was delicious 🙂

Topped it off with some Swedish candy a friend sent me for Christmas. These bags are from a store called Candy’s Candy Shop in San Fransisco. Have you heard how Swedish candy now is a thing here in America? Bunch of places selling it and people making TikTok videos eating it…

Squeezed in a little work between running around town… These gym clothes are from a brand called Vuori. It means mountain in Finnish. Their clothes are so soft and comfy. They are not the cheapest, but I found some on sale at the outlet here in Vegas. If you are looking for comfortable stuff, this is it!

We also did a full day on The Strip. Walked around the hotels and my sister found this blinged out hat that was right up our alley 🙂

On Sunday it was time for the semifinals of the Junior Hockey Championships between Sweden and Finland. Cheering hard for Finland and it was such an exciting game that went to over-time and then penalties. So close, but we lost to Sweden 🙁 Perkele is what I have to say about that!

On Monday it was time for my sister to fly back to Sweden. She soaked up some Vegas sun and caffeine in the morning with Hunter and then we went for a hike.

She also had to test the weight of her carry-on bag so she would be able to lift it up in the overhead bin LOL…

So happy we got 2 weeks together. We always have the best time together! Dropped her off at the airport and missed her the minute she left!

Lot of work to catch up on yesterday. Then hit the gym and spa.

Got to pack for Hawaii now. Might hit the gym if I have time. I like to move before sitting on a plane. Hunters sitter comes at around 2 and then I’m off to the airport 🙂 Bringing my pickleball paddle as I see they have courts close to where I’m staying. Looking forward to going to some beaches too and trying some local coffee roasters!

Have a great rest of the week folks!

Happy Finish to 2025 and Happy Start to 2026

How have your holidays been so far? Ready to say bye to 2025 and get started with 2026?

I am very happy with my holidays 🙂 Having my sister over, hanging with Sandy, nice Santa, great trip to LA, and a tasty Xmas Eve at Angel’s house to mention a few things.

Here are some pics from when Sandy was over. Enchanted garden maze.

We also did the strip and checked out the decorations at the Bellagio Hotel. Love the holiday shop they have there and I would buy half the store if I had the budget for it 🙂 The kids also required a stop at the M&M store and we checked out some other hotels too…

The next morning after I woke up I had tooth pain again! WTF! And no, not from the wisdom tooth extraction. Another tooth. Off to the emergency dental clinic. Turns out it was a cracked filling this time. Since we had made plans to see the Red Rocks, I made an appointment for later and had it dealt with. I decided that I’ve dealt with enough things this year so 2026 better keep it together! But the Red Rocks were great as always 🙂

Then came Christmas Eve. My sister was jet lagging, so when I got up around 7am, she was already making meatballs hahahaa…

Later we went over to Angel’s house. She was cooking a Czech soup that was delicious! We brought over some Swedish stuff like homemade ‘rödbetssallad’ (beet salad), the meatballs, herring, ham & salmon, glögg (mulled wine) which was a German version and of course there were sweets! I have never tried herring. Decided this was the year I would try it. I ate the one in mustard sauce and it was pretty good. Angel and Abby liked the herring too.

Got some presents and Hunter got a new cat tunnel he was unsure about at first, but loves it now!

Best thing is left overs and Christmas day started with knäckebröd (Swedish Crispbread) with ham and Dijon mustard, a meatball sandwich, and Angel’s soup.

After all this eating, I took my sister to Calico Basin and we did a hike. Beautiful weather and felt good to be outdoors.

On the 27th we hit the road to LA. Usually takes a little bit over 4h. After leaving and about 30min later we hit a standstill. Used Gemini AI and found out there was a semi truck that had turned over in the midsection about 4 miles ahead. Took us about 1,5h to get past that. Had time to throw our packing in our hotel and then Sandy picked us up for dinner. We ate at Sora at The Grove. Wow, some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! If you are in LA and like sushi, go here!!!! The spicy Margaritas were great too hahahaa…

The next morning started with coffee and then brunch at the Beverly Hills hotel with Sandy’s mom. I call her my extra mom and she is super fun!

We chilled at Sandy’s for a bit after before we went to Long Beach to see our friend Cindy. Back in the day when we were young(er), we used to party our asses off together. There are a lot of crazy memories!

Next day me & my sister did a whole day of shopping. My sister loves shiny stuff as much as I do, so the rhinestone shops in Downtown were our first stop. The parking lot was managed by a nice Mexican guy and we talked about Mexico for about 20min and petted his sweet dog!

We were out all day and crashed to bed when back at the hotel.

Since I didn’t know how the traffic back to Las Vegas was going to be before New Years, we decided to make it an early start and left at 03.30 in the morning… Not a lot of traffic at this time 🙂

Took a 2h nap when back though! Hit the gym later and also played pickleball. I was pretty damn good for once 🙂 Then I took my sister to the spa for some red light sauna and cold plunge.

Watched ‘One Battle After Another’ last night. I liked it a lot. De Caprio, Sean Penn and Benicio are great. I’m bad at writing short captions about a movie so google it if it’s something up your alley 🙂

We are going to get mani/pedis soon to make sure we enter 2026 in style 🙂 Going over to Angel’s later and we’ll see if we make it until midnight LOL… What are your plans? Got any resolutions? I plan to keep focusing on my health. Strength training and improving my pickeballing. Hope to start doing pilates and eating healthy. Maybe even laying off vaping because it’s a bit out of control ugh! I hope to be off the Prednisone pills too asap. Next weekend I’m off to Hawaii too 🙂 Very excited about that.

I wish you a fantastic New Years Eve whatever your plans are and the best start on 2026!
