New hair, movies…

Happy Easter to you all! I miss the påskägg, aka the Easter Eggs I used to get in Sweden. Like a colorful paper egg filled with candy. I always used to tell my mom not to go cheap on the candy. Made sure she went to a place with the highest quality candy. Since I always hated buying socks, my mom always put socks in my Easter egg too hahahaaa. Anyways, what do do you think of my Happy Easter cards? Hunter wanted his own one…

Also got bored of my hair so went and got it changed up. Someone told me that only crazy girls and strippers have pink or blue hair. Well, sounds like I’m somewhere right in between hahahaaa…

Got the camera out right away and made the most of the styled hair…

Since I’m hitting the beach tomorrow I dragged my butt to the gym so I can show off my soon-to-be-6-pack 😉

I watched a lot of great movies this week. I got 2 new movie services – Arrow Player and Criterion. I really recommend them! Cool and different movies on both. I also saw the new John Wick film. Lots of action but I kind of got annoyed people were getting shot/punched etc like 50 times without dying. I got to say I prefer the 1st and 2nd one better. But action-wise it delivered.

Then on Arrow I saw ‘Millionaires Express’ (1986). It is a martial arts, western, comedy movie from Hong Kong, written and directed by Sammo Hung. It’s funny, exaggerated, and with a lot of ‘kung fu’ fighting. I’d give it 3.75 out of 5.

Then watched ‘Before Sunrise’ (1995) & ‘Before Sunset’ (2004) with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Just have to re watch the 3rd movie in the ‘series’ next Before Midnight (2014). I love these movies. I love the story and that it spans over 19 years with the same main characters. I really recommend these if you’re in the mood for some romance stuff. I rate them strong 4’s out of 5.

Then watched ‘The Executioner’ (1974). A Japanese martial arts movie where three street toughs are hired to take down a Tokyo drug dealer. A lot of action, fighting, and with great sound effects. I laughed a lot as it’s funny as well. I rate it 3.9 out of 5.

Finally watched ‘Mulholland Drive’ (2001). I like David Lynch and this was a great movie. A mystery/thriller that is a bit twisted with some weirdness in it. I really liked it. I give it 4 out of 5.

I’m also almost finished with the series ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘The Last of Us’. I love Saul and might have to rewatch Breaking Bad after this. ‘The Last of Us’ has gotten better and more exciting the further in the series you get.

OK, going to finish my coffee and then go eat somewhere. Then packing for Puerto Escondido. Limiting myself to a carry on since I’m guessing I’ll be in a bikini most of the time 🙂 Unless I locate the nude beach hehehee… Leaving tomorrow until Friday.

Hasta la vista!

Italy & Left-Overs

Soooo, I’ve been back from Italy for almost a week. Italy was an overindulgence of all the great & tasty things in life – pasta, wine, truffles, champagne, antipasto, pizza and lotttts of espressos. Not to forget, great friends who rent castles and invite you 🙂 Thank you Andrea & Dasha!

Flew in to Rome and rented a car and drove towards Umbria. I love how people drive in Italy: fast and knowing not to idle in the left lane! Finally arrived and all I can say is just WOW! 2 houses and one of them had a church and an old jail cell underground! Like WTF, I want that in my future house! Not for religious purposes, but I could throw some awesome parties and troublemakers would be thrown in jail LOL…

I thought it was going to be a few days lying by the pool, but nope. Every day there were excursions. Among the things we checked out were the National Art Gallery of Umbria. A lot of historical religious art and what hit me is that it seemed pretty cruel back in the day. You look at a painting and then you realize the person is stepping on some people. Or someone with a knife in the head!

Obviously have to taste some wine when in Italy. They had made a reservation at the Tenuta Castelbuono. Not very familiar with architects or architecture, but this one is designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro who apparently is very famous in Italy. Very cool and Dasha and I even tried to sneak some wine straight from the barrels 😉

I’ve said it before, I like visiting churches. We went to see the great St Francis of Assisi in Umbria. I’m not great at history either, but it’s impressive in its’ size and I don’t think anyone would build anything like this today.

Had dinner at Il Frantoio which is a Michelin star restaurant. I tried a few Michelin star restaurants and unfortunately this one didn’t impress too much. The service was so so and everyone was sweating because the AC was off. But great views and I did tried pigeon for the first time 🙂 I had the best company though!

A couple of nights we had dinner at the house and it was a pretty awesome setting to dine at sunset!

Some more pics checking out Umbria, Perugia and Assisi. Also some old men in windows and cats.

Checked out on Saturday morning and drove back to Rome. Never been there before so it was fun to check it out. I liked it, but don’t think I’ll be going to Rome again. I prefer all the little towns and was also recommended to go to Sardinia. Added to bucket-list 🙂

My favorite place in Rome was the beach area. Only about 30 min drive from the city.

Saw the Spanish Steps and the famous Trevi fountain where Anita Ekberg took a dip.

Had yummy gelato, found a IKEA pop up store, cat instead of old men in a window, and skipped around in a bikini. You know, the usual stuff 😉

That concludes my Italy trip. I hope to visit more places in Italy! And eat more truffles and carbonara pasta!

Here are a few more pics from Sweden too. Seeing friends, partying a bit, hanging out, and lots of animals 🙂

Oh, and I did shoot some too. Have more pics coming, but this girl – altogether awesome. HoneyBabe, I think I love you 🙂

This week I’ve tried to catch up on work and battle jetlag. Yesterday I watched my friends compete in a crossfit competition here in town and going there to cheer them on today again. Before I go I’m going to tell you to see this movie –> RRR. It’s so damn good and you can thank me later!

OK, some breakfast, more coffee and then heading out. Enjoy your Sunday!

Buenos Dias :)

Beautiful day here in Puerto Rico. I’m working with the front door open getting some fresh air and sun as my company. A little bit of jetlag, but nothing 3 cups of coffee won’t solve hahahaaa…

Here’s a couple of pics from Sweden. The day before I left I went for a walk during some uncharacteristically nice weather.

One last dinner with my sis and Linda. Convinced Linda this is the safest thing to suck on during these Corona times!

I did bring my face mask too. Not sure if it actually works? This pic would also be my submission to the Instagram “challenge” where you’re supposed to post an unflattering photo of yourself for only one day…

We celebrated the waffle day in Sweden too. So good! There was a bowl left with whipped cream after. I challenged my friends’ kid to eat it all for 200kr. Like $20. Poor thing really tried, but ended up on the couch feeling sick with half a bowl of cream left. Ooops, sorry, but a challenge is a challenge 😉

Some pics that got snapped…

In reality I was walking around the house looking more like this. Sometimes at night I wondered if I even brushed my hair that day or if I should actually bother to shower hahhaaaa…

Planning on doing a daily walk to the store here so I move a little bit. Grocery stores close around 5pm here, and there’s a curfew after 7pm. Look at the beautiful flower I saw yesterday!

Oh, saw a really hilarious movie yesterday – Seven Psychopaths. It cracked me up and I love Christopher Walken! It’s a comedy with killings, stolen dogs, and a movie script.. watch it!

Also watched Get Out and it was pretty good too. It’s a horror flick, but I like my horror movies to be a little bit more bloody hahhaaaa… But worth watching.

OK, that’s it for now. I want to bake today and think about unpacking. Probably won’t happen, but at least I thought about it!

Virtual Hugs to you all!
