Highlights of 2023

Thinking back on 2023 and trying to summarize it with a couple of words. What comes to mind is adventure and experiences. I also have some questions about my direction and where I’m headed. Still can’t answer that one hahhaaaa… I love to travel and being in nature, so I hope 2024 includes that. I also hope I get to be healthy so I can keep exploring and experiencing!

Here are a few highlights from last year…

Visiting Patagonia in Argentina in February. Stayed in Bariloche and it was beautiful. Surrounded by water and nature. Also visited the little town El Bolsón where I would spend more time in if I visited again.

It was weird travelling and being in a country with such high inflation. You paid double for things if you paid with a card. To get cash you had to wire it to yourself and then line up at Western Union to get it.

Went to a wedding of a good friend in Palm Desert. Everything was kept off social media so I couldn’t post pics of the beautiful groom & bride. I really enjoyed Palm Desert and hope to go back.

After Palm Desert I went to LA and my sister came too from Sweden. We stayed with Sandy and her family so I got the good stuff all at once, family & friends while visiting LA. Took advantage of Sandy’s make up skills and got some work done too… I’m trying to plan a trip to LA asap to see Sandy as I miss her a lot!

In April I visited Puerto Escondido here in Mexico for the first time. Wow, what a cool beach town. Not busy and developed like Tulum. Very chill and relaxed. Would definitely go back here too 🙂

In May I went to the Mycelia Retreat in Jamaica. Definitely one of the top experiences in 2023 that made a big impact on me. Such a beautiful time with mushrooms and an amazing group of people. I hope to host my own retreat this year. Let me know if you’re interested in coming 🙂

In June it was time for a yearly hike up north in Sweden for my sister and I. 3rd year in a row and we plan to keep this going. This time we did the first part of the Kings Trail. 6 days and 5 nights and we loved every day of it!

In August I visited Oaxaca the city. Very beautiful. Drove to the small village called San Jose del Pacifico. It was mushroom season and had a great mushroom trip out in the woods there.

In October it was time for Medellin in Colombia. First time trying paragliding and another mushroom trip 🙂

And the last adventure of the year went to San Miguel de Allende. That trip included trying Kambo and San Pedro for the first time. Very powerful and intense experience.

Not to forget, Hunter celebrated 1 year as a new family member. I love him so much 🙂

Soooo, how about you? Got goals, direction or things you want to do/achieve in 2024? I hope you gotten a fabulous start to this new year!

Patagonia – Argentina

Arrived in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night. Luckily my face recovered pretty good and I looked pretty much like my passport picture even though I was still swollen.

Only had time to check in at the Airbnb and grab a coffee (and snap a semi nudish pic) in the morning before it was time to head to another airport and catch a domestic flight to Bariloche.

The rental car guy waited at the airport with the car and we were able to get a better rate by paying him in US dollars. Not sure how many of you know about the economic situation and the inflation here in Argentina? You basically are paying double if you pay by card. Half the rate if you pay cash. We were able to exchange some US dollars to their pesos so we could get past the first day. Then I sent myself a money transfer by Western Union. There was some work to it, but finally I had cash!

It’s beautiful here. We’re staying a bit outside the main area and next to the Nahuel Huapi lake. The view from the apartment.

Walked to a restaurant close by and ate some meat, walked the beach and later indulged in a bucket of ice cream 🙂 There are so many ice cream and chocolate places here!

The next day we found a great coffee truck to get the caffeine fix sorted out.

Then took a tour around the area. You pretty much have water around you at all times. Stopped and did a hike to a lookout spot called Cerro Llau Llau. Luckily there was another coffee truck there so we could have some more coffee before ascending…

Then grabbed food and had one of the best meals here so far. The restaurant is called Montana and the meats are cooked over open fire! The plan is to go back before we leave!

There are so many great spots and viewpoints so there are many stops along the way…

On Friday we drove about 2,5h south to a town called El Bolson. Apparently a bunch of hippies came here in the 60’s and 70’s and the town definitely had a bohemian and relaxed vibe. I really liked it here. It reminded me of Salt Lake City in Utah with all the surrounding mountains…

The next day we took a hike up to Refugio de Montaña Cerro Piltriquitrón. They have a lot of gravel roads here and we had to first drive 8km up to the parking spot before hitting the trail…

Even though it was all uphill, the trail was pretty even and easy to hike. Great views over the city.

From the refugio you can continue up to a mountain top. We went up a bit, but didn’t go all the way to the top. Crazy how the weather changes as you go upwards. From hot-that-you-can-wear-shorts, to cold ass winds that you wish you brought your gloves,

Before we headed back down we stepped inside the refugio and had a cup of hot chocolate. Talked to the guy that worked there. He had been living there for the past year. He hiked down frequently to buy supplies, food and a 30kg gas tanked that he hiked up with on his back. By the way, you could also eat pizza and have a beer here. The 2nd hut is the one you could spend the night in and you can also camp up here.

4 days a week they have a market in town. For being a small town, the market was huge! But some knitted socks and a hat from a local lady and they cost like $20. Will show pics, just haven’t worn them yet.

Got back to Bariloche last night. Today we went into the main town and got some stuff for our overnight hike tomorrow. I really thought they would have more and cheaper hiking gear here since this is an outdoorsy town. Kind of like when I was in New Zealand. But there is not a huge selection and because it’s all imported it costs more too. But got what we needed and I’m so excited for the hike.

Had to eat some more ice cream too. Mamuschka, one of the most popular places in town and it was super good ice cream!

Gonna put some stuff out for tomorrow and go through it all in the morning before throwing it down in the backpack 🙂 All the fresh mountain air (and local wines & beers) here makes me tired early, so after that it’s off to bed 🙂 I think some of you might be watching Super Bowl so I hope your team wins if you’re a football fan!

Oooops…

I was recommended a treatment called Morpheus. I’ve seen 2 friends who’ve done it on their face and they look amazing. I’m a bit impatient at times and decided to do it before my trip to Argentina. Now I’m not sure it was my brightest idea. The treatment is tiny needles with radiofrequency that puncture your skin at desired areas. This treatment is for stimulating collagen production, smoothing wrinkles etc. I did the procedure while they put me half asleep. Here’s me before…

And then me directly after. I asked for coffee as soon as I woke up and not groggy anymore…

I thought that this was kind of it. Maybe that I’d get a little bit more swollen and red. Well, I did get more swollen LOL…

Good thing my Russian friend Masha is almost a doctor and recommended Benadryl for the swelling. I’m still swollen, but it’s starting to settle. I’m flying tomorrow and hope I look a little bit more like my passport picture!

Before I swelled up like a bloated corpse, I got the necessary pics and videos done 🙂 Which reminds me that I should Google if there is a fetish for pregnant looking faces 😉

Mixed it up with some selfies…

And here are Hunters weekly dose of pics. Please note that he sometimes is too lazy to fully stand up and eat. He just gets his upper body up enough to reach the food, while the lower body still is in relax mode hahahaaa…

Also finished the embroidery of this custom Psychonaut Explorer jacket. I really enjoy embroidery. It’s very relaxing and I hope I’ll do more of it in the future…

That’s it for now. Gonna eat some more Benadryl and pack for tomorrow’s trip to Argentina. I have a couple of hikes booked there. One is an overnight hike and the second one is a 3 day hike. I’m so ready to be out in nature. If all goes according to plan, my next post will be from Patagonia 🙂

Until then, don’t f*ck up 😉

Work, trip & nap-buddy

Mostly work this past week. Yesterday I had a day off with nothing planned and I felt lost. I was bored and in a bad mood. Felt like I was wasting a day. But when I try to think of what I wanted to do, nothing came to mind. Ended up reading most of the day and then watching the series Yellowjackets. Made me realize I need to ‘practice’ relaxing… Also, that reading is never a waste of time.

Finally got the new pants put up on the website. They are so damn comfy. I could live in velour!

Then there was a birthday celebration for a friend. Had to dress up in something else other than comfy velour pants 🙂

Then the usual…

My best napping buddy. Sometimes we nap on the balcony and sometimes on the couch. He sleeps in bed with me, but somehow Hunter developed a habit of waking up between 6.30 and 7am. A liiitle too early for my preference, but now I’m almost used to it 🙂

Today I finally booked my trip to Patagonia and I feel so excited about going. I’m going the week after the next, to an area called Bariloche. Will also stay a couple of days in Buenos Aires. I will try to get in as much time hiking and in nature as possible. Looking at places to stay now and I want to stay close to the water. Woop woop!

Here’s a photo dump of me at the hair salon (again), the gym, a cute Rottweiler (I grew up with 2 of them) and the series ‘The Last of Us’ being promoted here. I watched 2 episodes and not sure if I’ll keep watching. Really enjoying Yellowjackets and last night I watched couple of episodes of ‘The Other Two’ and it’s pretty funny,

Going to a small house concert tonight, but plan to be well behaved so I can have a productive week before taking off to Argentina 🙂

All the best to you, Puma

This, tits & that…

Last night I went to the movies here in Mexico City for the first time. Forgotten how much I enjoy going to the theater. What made it even better is that they have VIP theaters here where you have reclining seats and a huge menu to order snacks, food, and drinks from. I saw the new Avatar in 3D and it was great.

This past week I worked a lot on the Psychonaut clothes with Ximena.

Checked off shooting content too.

Been awhile, but got a mammography done. For some reason I think it’s so funny when a shorter person than me is reaching up and trying to handle my big titties, getting them inside and lined up correctly in this machine, while trying to explain it all in Spanish to me.

I’m very happy to have Angel around the corner so he can style my hair every now and then. It takes forever if I try to do it myself and still resembles more of a birds nest than curls…

Hunter needs his weekly photos too. Almost as much as he need his naps 🙂

And ran into some cute dogs on the street…

Gym has been good and also did some yoga on a rooftop. Dinner with Dyana, reading, and this past week’s dose of selfies…

I think that’s about it. Now I’m gonna look into booking a trip to Patagonia for next month. I crave nature and hiking. If you’ve been and have tips or recommendations, please write 🙂 I’m so excited about this. Now I’m going to Uber to a big Petco and buy some new toys for Hunter 🙂

May your next week be filled with whatever it is you want and crave 🙂

Kisses, Puma

2022 –> 2023

Sooo, we are almost done with this year. How was your 2022? Any plans or goals for 2023? What was the best thing that happened or that you did this year?

For me a couple of the most memorable things this year were my 2 hikes with my sister in Sweden. Not much beats being outdoors.

Adopting Hunter S Thompson. These pics are from this morning. He just loves getting as close as he can to my face 🙂

The Changa ceremony. I never experienced anything like it and it truly was mind altering.

I always love my trips to LA and seeing my wifey Sandy & her family. I feel like I’m part of their family 🙂 And I loved seeing more of Italy this summer… (and drinking their wine).

Also there was a lot of insightful and mind-bending trips on various ‘medicines’. Finally got to experience Peyote too 🙂

Lastly I’m very proud of launching Psychonaut Explorer.

In 2023 I hope to travel more. To see more of Mexico, and on my bucket list is to hike in Patagonia or Ireland. Maybe a part of Kungsleden in Sweden. It would be amazing to hike on Iceland too 🙂 I know I will do more mind expanding trips too and I have thoughts of obtaining the knowledge from Kambo and Iboga. I’m going to sign up for Spanish lessons again and improve my Spanglish. Continue my work and experimenting with Psychonaut Explorer. I have amazing fans so there will be more pics and videos being made as well. Mostly I hope to stay healthy because then anything can happen 🙂

I forgot to shoot NYE pics for this year so I’m reusing last years content. Being wasteful is so old anyways 😉

That’s it from me this year. I wish you an amazing New Years Eve whatever you get up to and that you’ll have an amazeballs start on 2023!!!

Get ready 2023, here I come!!!!
