Valle de Bravo

As I wrote before, we visited the town Valle de Bravo and loved it. It’s only about a 2 hour drive from Mexico City, and we took an Uber there.

We stayed at La Casa Rodavento, a small boutique hotel right next to the town. It was only two minutes walking to all the shopping and restaurants. No kids allowed there which for me is a bonus. Don’t worry if you have kids, since there’s also Hotel Rodavento. It’s located about 25 min away from town, it’s beautiful, and they allow kids. It’s more secluded in the woods and the spa is also located there. Last option is Cinco Rodavento in the middle of the city.

Had a great room on the bottom floor. There are 2 floors. We appreciated the welcome shots 🙂

Huge bathroom with a big shower, an outdoor shower, and bathtub. Nice products too and mirrors for selfies 😉

The first day was cloudy and rainy, so just took a short stroll in town.

We ate at our hotel and the food is good. Not a huge menu but the little desserts churros are to die for!!!!

Next day we had a beautiful sunny day. Pictures from the pool at the hotel and the view from the second-floor rooftop. The rooftop has a hottub by the way, but never had the time to use it, and I even missed taking a picture of it.

The town is so cute and amazing. I love the small alleys everywhere.

Great shopping, cute cafes and restaurants. Me being a caffeine addict, i tried two places for coffee and both where great. This one was called La Machinhuepa Valle. Cute place and made friends with this dog that followed us into the cafe.

The best one was Caos Cafe. Beans roasted right there and I made another cute friend 🙂 Look at his different colored eyes, so cool!

Explored an art gallery, did some shopping, and peaked inside of a church. Could’ve spent more time in town, but we had massages booked so had to go…

As I wrote on top, the spa is located at their other place called Hotel Rodavento. Very glad we got to see that place too because it’s different and very relaxing in the woods. It was pouring down when we where there, and it felt like we where in the jungle!

I had booked a 2h package with massage and a facial treatment. Unfortunately my masseuse was either not very well trained or just not into massaging people. I was pretty disappointed after. When we then asked to go to the outdoor pool and hottub we were told they close at 6pm and it was now 5.40pm. We were also informed that it was not included in the massage package to use the pool or hottub. I’ve never been to a spa where pool, tubs or saunas are not included. I wish they would’ve informed me of these details when making a reservation. We still checked out the area and I can imagine it be pretty relaxing to sit out there. If you paid for it that is 😉

After talking to the manager about my massage, he offered me a 15% discount. I told him that I’m not very pleased with that. He made a call and 30% was taken off the total bill. That was satisfactory as my partner’s massage was good.

Instead of ‘hanging lip’ over the spa experience we decided to try their restaurant. This hotel has such beautiful walk-ways and a very nice view from the restaurant.

Food was very good and stuffed my face with the mini churros they had at this place too 🙂 Next time in Valle de Bravo I would like to stay at this place too.

Next morning we had breakfast and then spent some time trying to get a ride back to Mexico City. Uber doesn’t run out there so after some phone calls we found a local driver to take us back. Next time I would probably handle this before, but hey, in Mexico everything always works out one way or another 🙂 I really really recommend a visit to Valle de Bravo! I would go back right away if I didn’t have so many other spots on my to-visit list here in Mexico!

Hope you are having or had a great Halloween. I’ll share some of mine in next post. Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos is a big holiday here. One of my best friends from Sweden arrives here tomorrow. Going to be so much fun and can’t wait to show her CDMX! And eat the Swedish candy she hopefully brings me hahahaaa 🙂

Happy Halloweeen, Puma

Sunshine & coffee…

Sitting outside at one of my favorite cafes here in CDMX, Efimero Cafe, drinking cappuccino and writing to you. It feels like early summer here and the temperature is perfect. I probably don’t have time to finish this post, because at 2pm I have a shoot. Very exciting, because it’s an artsy type of shoot for a special publication in Sweden. Yesterday I went to Downtown for the first time with the photographer to buy a wig for this shoot. I love wigs and changing my looks, but the most impressive thing was downtown itself. You can find everything there I think. They had blocks for beauty, kitchen stuff, decorations, lighting, fabric, kitchen stuff, photography and probably tons of more stuff I didn’t have time to explore. But I’m going back for sure. And I think half of the population was in Downtown as well 🙂

Something that impresses me with Mexico is that there’s a solution to almost everything. You need a bit of sidewalk & a portable kitchen on wheels and you got a ‘restaurant’ going. Or you’re at least serving food. Here in Downtown they just had some chairs set up and there was like 20 people doing eyelash extensions. At another spot there was a lady sitting outside on the street getting hair extensions done. No fancy salons, lights etc, just getting shit done!

I also did a mini vacay this week from Wednesday to Friday at a town called Valle de Bravo. Amazing place and will make a separate post about it.

No week goes by without creating some pics & vids. In case anyone is unaware, or curious, here’s a link to all my channels where you can find my ‘creativity’ #sfw – https://myslink.app/pumaswede

Last weekend on Sunday I went back to Los Dinamos Park. I went back to a spot with a big rock and just sat there and relaxed. And took some pics of my feet, because they’re big sellers 🙂

Managed to also snap pics of a friends’ cute dogs, one gym pic where it looks like I’m passed out and some Xmas decorations at the mall here. A little early I think…

Now packing my wig and going to shoot 🙂 Apparently they’re fixing my nails too and they got a wardrobe stylist, hair stylist, and a make up artist. I better be made look cool 🙂

Last day…

…before Christmas Eve. I’m in Sweden now and we expect Santa Claus to show up tomorrow, the 24th! Since it’s a well known fact that Santa is from Korvatunturi in Finland, he probably handles the Nordic countries before he deals with the rest of the world 😉 OK, before I jump to Christmas, I’ll share some Puerto Rican happening first… I just haven’t had the time between Tulum and Sweden.

We were all very grateful for good health and delicious food on Thanksgiving. Oh, it was nice to dress up a little too and be a bit fancy-pants for once. We ate at the restaurant 1919 at Condado Vanderbilt Hotel. One of my favorite meals is always a beef tartar and this one was superb! Sat outside after taking in the views of the ocean and big waves.

Since the gyms in PR now only are allowed to run at a 30% capacity, we taken to work out in the park. It’s sunny pretty much 360 days of the year in PR, you always get to work on your gains (and tan) in the sun. I also enjoy the big lizards that come really close to inspect on you.

By chance I also came across a yoga studio. I really liked when we did yoga in Mexico and I am always in the need of more mobility and stretching. A very chill place with great people. In some places people are so advanced, standing on their heads and shit, I feel like I’m there by a mistake. This place suits me perfect as it mostly pretty basic yoga moves and no one asks me to stand on my head!

Rented paddled boards one day too and went out on the lagoon. I love the Puerto Ricans who strap coolers and containers on their boards and then have a picnic on the water. One day I will try this out with a pizza and a couple of local Medalla beers! A couple will be enough or I’ll fall off the board 🙂

Of course there’s not a week without me creating content.

Sometimes I’m bad at exploring the places closest to me. Always think I have to cross the globe to find something new and exciting. Took a walk and never knew there was a beautiful walkway around the fort in Old San Juan. WOW. The best part is that there are so many cats there. A local cat sanctuary feeds them here and some of them are super friendly and come up to you. I wish I could take them all home with me!

Since I was in this exploring mood, we also tried a new restaurant close to us where we’ve never been. It’s called Jungle Bird and it’s this funky little place. They always update their menu, hence the menu written on boards they bring to you. Same with the drinks, so you most likely get to try something new if you go back. I definitely will 🙂

Couple of more selfies. Can’t waste the opportunity when you got your face paint on 🙂

It’s been busy days here in Sweden. Shooting for the new project which we plan to launch fully in January. More info coming, but please follow us on Instagram ~ @pussitive_

Will try to squeeze in one more post before 2020 ends. I had a week in LA before Sweden, some Christmas pics and probably some other randomness 🙂 Now off to get in Xmas spirit 🙂

Wish you all the very best! Stay naughty cause it’s so much more fun 😉

Hiking in Sweden

Came back this past Sunday from a 3 day hike up in Jämtland. WOW! Such beautiful nature and fresh air. I went with my sister and Karina. We took the night train on Wednesday evening and had our own ‘room’ with beds.

We arrived to our destination Thursday morning and a bus took us to the trail. All geared up and very eager to get going!

The trail started uphill and we realized pretty fast we need to stop put shorts on. Then we hiked on and took coffee breaks, lunch stop, reindeer watching and just taking in the beautiful views.

Add a couple of pee-stops. I felt I had a Kodak moment where I wanted to take a selfie. Karina felt like she had an other kind of moment in the background at the same time hahahaaaa….

The weather changed the whole day. It was cloudy, some rain, windy and later on we got sun. Found a perfect spot by a river for some Champagne and I went swimming. Or more like, got in – got out, of the water. Put a bikini on? F*ck no! Outdoors and nature require no such thing!

Hiked 16km to the lodge Sylarna, where we stayed overnight. Two course dinner with some drinks was a perfect ending to our first day.

Second day hike was 19km to Blåhammaren. The views along the way are incredible.

In the afternoon when the sun was shining I rinsed off in a river. Dried off on a rock like a mermaid lost in the mountains…

People bring all kinds of essentials for hiking. Our only essential was Champagne. My sisters face says it all hahahaaaa…

After the last kilometers being uphill we were happy to reach Blåhammaren lodge. Ate an amazing 3 course dinner with fish and reindeer, perfectly combined with wine pairing 🙂

Stretching is important… I also drew the shortest stick, so I slept on a mattress on the floor while Karina and my sis slept in a bunk bed. Thanks a lot guys!

3rd and last day the hike was 12km. It was colder, but as long as the Champagne didn’t freeze, no complaints hahahaaa…

In the afternoon the bus took us back to the train. Got pizza at the local spot before the train back. We devoured the pizza before the train even took off hahahaaaa…

And after sleeping on the train back to Stockholm, we arrived like a fresh bunch at 7am 🙂

We all agreed that this was a super fun trip together. We all wished it would’ve lasted a couple of more days. Highly recommend hiking Jämtlandstriangeln (the Jämtland Triangle). You don’t need any previous experience as the hikes are pretty easy. Only suggest to invest in a decent pair of hiking shoes, back pack and a jacket and pants that can handle rain and wind. Oh, and Champagne 😉

Check out my friend Karina’s travel blog too for more info – https://reseaventyr.se/2020/08/21/vandra-jamtlandstriangeln/

Fun times in…

…Sweden! So much to do and family & friends to see. Just got back from an amazing weekend paddling a kayak, camping and finishing with a stay at a hotel with a friend. Just have to go through (and censor) closer to 300 pics before posting them 😉

In my last post I said there was a party at my friend Linda’s. I did need some recovery, but I’m too restless to just chill. And I need coffee in the morning whatever state I’m in… Me and my sister went for a walk and found this amazing spot called The Nut House. They had a restaurant, shop and a gallery. And the hammock that I took a siesta in…

Then it was time to visit my friend Katrin and Bingo with more friends. They’re all very entertaining & hilarious and it was a full day of BBQ, sauna and catching/cracking up.

Too much laughing with my cohorts also required a dose (or a couple) of Botox. Wrinkles from laughing are great, but I have to control them a little, unless I want to rename myself to Puma the Raisin…

Every now and then I have to work too. Luckily I have a pleasureful job I enjoy, so it makes it easy 🙂

Then Nelly stepped in and said it was enough smut for one day and crashed my shoot…

Also went over to my friend Anneli. I pretty much go from one household to the next and eat & drink! Stole her kids ponies and tried burning 5 calories from all the snacks consumed.

The rest of the crop. Family, eating, starstruck, Nelly and creativity kicking in!

Hope you’re living it up this summer where ever in the world you are! Sending you virtual hugs from a safe distance 🙂

Buenos Dias :)

Beautiful day here in Puerto Rico. I’m working with the front door open getting some fresh air and sun as my company. A little bit of jetlag, but nothing 3 cups of coffee won’t solve hahahaaa…

Here’s a couple of pics from Sweden. The day before I left I went for a walk during some uncharacteristically nice weather.

One last dinner with my sis and Linda. Convinced Linda this is the safest thing to suck on during these Corona times!

I did bring my face mask too. Not sure if it actually works? This pic would also be my submission to the Instagram “challenge” where you’re supposed to post an unflattering photo of yourself for only one day…

We celebrated the waffle day in Sweden too. So good! There was a bowl left with whipped cream after. I challenged my friends’ kid to eat it all for 200kr. Like $20. Poor thing really tried, but ended up on the couch feeling sick with half a bowl of cream left. Ooops, sorry, but a challenge is a challenge 😉

Some pics that got snapped…

In reality I was walking around the house looking more like this. Sometimes at night I wondered if I even brushed my hair that day or if I should actually bother to shower hahhaaaa…

Planning on doing a daily walk to the store here so I move a little bit. Grocery stores close around 5pm here, and there’s a curfew after 7pm. Look at the beautiful flower I saw yesterday!

Oh, saw a really hilarious movie yesterday – Seven Psychopaths. It cracked me up and I love Christopher Walken! It’s a comedy with killings, stolen dogs, and a movie script.. watch it!

Also watched Get Out and it was pretty good too. It’s a horror flick, but I like my horror movies to be a little bit more bloody hahhaaaa… But worth watching.

OK, that’s it for now. I want to bake today and think about unpacking. Probably won’t happen, but at least I thought about it!

Virtual Hugs to you all!

I’m home!

Or Sweden is kind of my home too, but today I finally arrived in Puerto Rico! After 3 days and 2 nights of traveling. More and more airlines were cancelling their flights and I started thinking I’ll be unable to go home for 1-2 months. Finally found these flights with overnight layovers and decided it better work out!

Arlanda airport in Sweden was pretty much empty. Could buy food and coffee, but most places were closed down…

Got to Heathrow in London and luckily got a room at the hotel in my terminal.

Late night snack at the room and then slept like a knocked out baby!

Next morning everything was closed at Heathrow airport. Luckily Marks & Spencer had a small store and I could get breakfast and snacks.

Relieved when at the flight to Miami the next day was on the screen. Flights are being cancelled on a short notice, so couldn’t be sure until it actually was boarding…

I was suppose to have a flight to San Juan last night, but it was cancelled. So another airport hotel for 1 night. They even had a restaurant open and I was the only one eating there…

Flight this morning left 06.50am and the sky was beautiful! The clouds looked like spaceships floating ready to take over earth…. Or I just have a wild imagination hahhaaaa…

And then finally arriving in San Juan.

They took my temperature and asked a couple of questions before exiting, but that’s it. I walked to the store today and got some groceries and felt amazing wearing shorts again 🙂 More pics from Sweden coming tomorrow. Hope you all are doing good!

Kisses, Puma

I’m stuck!

Looks like I’ll be stuck in Sweden for a while. My flight was cancelled again and looks like the first available flight is in April. I miss Andrew and wish we could be together in these times, but luckily there’s FaceTime and Skype 🙂 Oh, and I don’t really get to sleep in here. My sister is an early bird and this woke me at 7am on Saturday…

Got this sweater from my friend Linda. I think it’s a perfect fit.

In Sweden we have a ‘Waffle Day’ coming up tomorrow March 25th. But we pre-celebrated. Have you ever tried cloudberries? It’s referred to as the gold of the forest here in Scandinavia. It only grows up north and it’s expensive. My mom has a friend who picked and made jam of these. It tasted amazing on waffles with whipped cream!

Supporting local businesses with my friends 🙂 My shopping is not fit to show on here hahahahaaa…

Even during these times I work. Or pretend to… A hard day at the office – cheers!

Can’t work out yet, but one can always pose by some gym equipment. 10 calories burned….

Perfect times for DIY. Hair coloring with my sister…

Take care of yourself!

Kisses, Puma

How are you?

How is the situation where you are at? Are you staying in, working, trying to get home from somewhere? I hope to get back on Wednesday next week. I hope Puerto Rico don’t close their borders before that… But who knows?

Since it’s preferred that you isolate yourself, why not do it with your camera 🙂

I always believe in being outdoors. I have read and heard that it’s not even allowed to be outdoors in some places. Like in Puerto Rico you’re not allowed to go to the beach and hang out now… I took a walk & fika with a friend in the sun…

Had to try if it fits. Thankfully not hahahaaa…

When I don’t dress in the skimpy outfits, my choice is a hoodie and jeans!

And I want to live on this street! Must be popping…

In Sweden it feels like it’s winter again. Don’t be fooled by the sun in this pic. If you farted it be snowflakes coming out! I’m exaggerating, but when you’re used to the PR heat this feels freezing…

Hope you are well where ever you are! And remember to be more like Bill!

Hugs, Puma

Heeeeey!

How are you? Hope you are in good health and stocked up on toilet paper! That last part was a joke. I hope you are not hoarding! I’m amazed that people prioritize toilet paper. And I’ve seen a video online where there’s an actual fistfight going on over toilet paper! And here in Sweden people sell hand sanitizers on auction sites for 10 times the original price!

Unfortunately I got an email this morning that my flight is cancelled. Will see how and when I’ll be able to get on a flight back to Puerto Rico. In the meanwhile, I’ll keep hanging with my family and friends.

Dinner with Karina one rainy evening. Me also showing how you can be closer than a meter to each other and still communicate safely 😉

Then catching up and sushi with Mark and Jack in Old Town… My sexy post-surgery bra made an appearance too for some unknown reason…

Met my friend Anna and obviously we’re not concerned about Corona here…

When keeping busy me and Nelly (the cat in my armpit) like to take naps. She’s like 20 years old and sometimes I wonder which one of us loves naps more hahahaaaa…

Snapped some selfies since that’s about the only content I manage right now…

Last night we got together for food & drinks. I also thought I could help my single friends to advertise for suitable boys/men for them. Not sure we captured ourselves at our best… I do expect to be invited to 3 weddings in the future!

Now getting myself together for a dog walk and fika 🙂 Tomorrow the stitches come off and the party begins 😉

Stay safe out there!

Kisses, Puma
