I’m still processing the experience as it was a powerful one. From the beginning though…

Our original guide/facilitator had to cancel, but recommended for us to go to Andres at La Ofrenda Para Ti. It was me and three friends arriving at 8pm. It was my first time doing a ceremony at night time. The space was pitch black and there were a few ‘huts’ with some light in the woods. We just stood there dumbfounded not knowing where we were supposed to go until our guide, Andres, appeared from one of the huts cheerfully. He showed us around and told us that all the huts were made of clay and wood. We then walked a short path to a big dome.

There were matts and blankets laid out individually for each of us.

Andres started working the firepit in the middle while we all shared a bit about ourselves and our intentions for the journey.

My intention was that I wished for some guidance. I feel there are new things coming for me and I have some ideas on my own, but feel a bit hesitant, and have 105 different ideas hahhaaa… I have long since learned that with mushrooms, you don’t get what you want, but what you need.

We finally had a big fire going and we were first served Ambil (tobacco paste) that you licked off a stick, and then after a small spoon of ground up Mambe (coca leaf powder). This is used for the equilibrium between masculine and feminine energy, thinking and feeling, to open up your heart, not from the ego, and to clarify purpose. Not super tasty, but it eventually dissolved and you swallowed it. Then we got rapé. And then we got two different types of dried mushrooms that we ate. Three grams of Blue Moon (lab) and one gram Mexican (earth). I was told that the one from lab helps with focus and Blue Moon is more visual and keeps a connection to earth.

I always note the time down when I ingest any type of psychedelic. It was 10:05 pm.

I laid down and after, what probably was 15 minutes, remembered thinking: ‘these shrooms are probably not that powerful since I’m not feeling anything’. Shortly after it hit me full force and it took me on a powerful ride. I remember sometimes it being so intense so I opened my eyes and looked at the fire which kind of centered me and reminded me that I’m safe and can let go.

At points it is like I cease existing and I’m a being in a different realm. I’m not seeing it, I am in the midst of it all. For me it is like cartoon images. It’s not realistic surroundings and people, but they are drawn and cartoonish. I see things and then I’m swooshed away like I’m flying to new imagery. I also remember looking up at the dome and it was all purplish with tentacles dancing around me.

After about 2h I sat up and everyone was laughing and having a great time. I felt exhausted after my initial ‘ride’. I put on my headphones and danced a bit. The music always sounds so good and evokes all kinds of feelings in me. I felt a lot of love and most of the times my family, friends and people I know come to my mind. I lied back down, cried, and watched the fire. The crying is not out of sadness, more a feeling of love and it feels like I’m clearing my head/body of tension.

We had our driver come at around 2am to pick us up. We all felt that we were not ready to leave yet. I think at some point we all slept. I spotted this mask and felt like it was a sister Puma meant for me 🙂

It was refreshing to step outside in the fresh air and sit in the darkness. I liked hearing the laughter from inside the dome…

I went in and out of sleep and at 8am we felt ready to emerge from the dome. Andres served us some fruits and drinks and we sat talking about our journey. I felt a lot of gratitude and a beautiful connection to everyone in the ceremony. It is always funny how different everyone’s trip is. Some did not have a lot of visuals while I felt that I was emerged in them. All together a beautiful ceremony and night and I hope to visit Andres and La Ofrenda Para Ti again.

Not much got done the day after. We all smelled like a fire pit after a night in the dome, so a much needed shower felt amazing. Later we went to Crepes & Waffles and this dessert hit the spot.

.

I was going to share George’s dog adoption story here too, but since Hunter’s adoption is going to be 1 year next week, I’ll share them together 🙂 Instead you get this little video of our night that I scramble together 🙂

While on the subject of mushrooms, my next retreat is coming up now in November. I’m sharing 2 videos about it. It’s in San Miguel de Allende here in Mexico. About 4h drive from Mexico City 🙂 I’m very excited about this one as it’s going to involve other psychedelics and not just mushrooms.

There are 2 spots left and if you are interested, contact @miryana.gongora.hernandez or @michaelhokkinensoder on Instagram. They are both super nice and can answer all your questions 🙂

Until the next trip you all 🙂 Happy Halloween and Día de Muertos!

It was an intense week in Medellin, but so much fun 🙂 I like to arrive early and have a full day instead of losing a day, so I booked a 5am flight and Uber picked me up at 3am.

My friends, George, Samuel and ‘Spicy Nana’, picked me up from the airport. We went straight for food. And cerveza and some local shots. I grew up with 2 Rottweilers and got to say hi to this beautiful Rottweiler named Carbon at the restaurant 🙂

Our first house was in an area called Rio Negro. Very relaxing and lots of nature. I tossed my suitcase and backpack in the house, and we went to check out the hood. Had to stop the car and take a picture by this Puma sign. Felt right at home seeing the possibility of family members 😉 Also George is remodeling a house here so we checked it out and made sure there’s room for all of us in the future!

Ended up in some small town for dinner and then this awesome bar called Shupa Shots. Of course we had to try some shots and they ranged from strong to very strong hahhaaaa…

Next day we got to work. I like when work don’t feel like work, but you just have a great time and it happens to end up on camera. Yes, it might of gotten just a bit out of hand, but hey, sometimes you just got to go with it…

We had a mushroom ceremony booked for that night. Four of us went and it was an intense and amazing experience. I will make a separate post about it. A light dinner before heading out. I was getting hangry…

We got back at 10am the next day from the ceremony and were pretty exhausted. Not much else other than napping and eating that day.

Next day I met Melody. She’s getting into the ‘entertainment’ business as well and we did a little thing together.

As soon as I went outside the house this cute and friendly cat appeared to demand my attention 🙂

We then had to check out and check in at our new place in El Poblado. There’s a funny dog adoption story that happened here too, but it is connected to us tripping, so you’ll get it with the ceremony story. There was a pit stop at Amanda’s (George sister who is superfun) house on the way that resulted in me napping and then us playing Uno. I won a lot in case you wondering. I’m very competitive playing games LOL…

So our new casa looked like Scarface might of had a hand in helping to design it hahhaaaa…

It was supposed to be an ‘only-one-drink’ kind of night and saying hi to Coby who’s from Vegas and was also in town. You know how those nights can go? Very fun and we determined that Coby is way better at twerking than me…

Also checked out his casa which also was pretty unique… Yup, ‘it was all a dream…’

Next day was a full day in town with ‘Spicy Nana’ (who prefers to be incognito, but was our photo- and videographer and an old friend) and Melody. Lunching, coffee, getting nails done, shopping and dinner.

Next day more work in ‘Casa Scarface’… There are more pics, but it might a bit much Puma for you in one post. Don’t want to overwhelm you 😉

Had dinner at a great sushi place called Niku. The dessert was a cup of Nutella, brownie and ice cream. Guess how good it was???

On Monday it was paragliding time. It was me, Amanda, Samuel, and Coby that went for it. Amanda has done it before and said how amazing it is. Thought I’d be cool as her and just be gliding around up in the sky. Topless too while filming it. I ended up screaming and was anything but cool hahahaaa… But when the guy wasn’t diving and spinning, I had moments when I was cool! Video of it is coming too.

It was a very cool experience and I’d do it again. Afterwards we packed some stuff up at the house and headed over to Amanda’s. I wanted to shoot some experimental stuff in her garden at night time. We got some pretty cool stuff and I will show it later. Here’s me with Amanda’s supercool cat with thumbs.

The last day I headed to El Poblado for some coffee and a last look around. I’ve visited Medellin and twice before and almost moved here at one point.

Since we had some time before my late flight, we made the most of it when Melody came over. Guess I’m irresistible hahahaaa…

We had one last dinner and then it was time for me to fly home. When you’re famous like me it’s sometimes good to disguise yourself to avoid recognition 😉

Came home at 3am and Hunter was energetic as always at night, so we played a bit and then went to bed and crashed… All together it was such a great trip and I miss everyone. Hopefully I will see part of the gang in Mexico in November though 🙂

Here are some leftover pics I forgot to squeeze in…

That’s it. Trip report coming next 🙂 Tell me, how you been?

Had to go back in my phone calendar to see what I’ve done. Usually the photos help, but I guess I didn’t take that many this week.

I found the psychic’s name and scheduled a call. I have seen her in LA when I lived there, and recommended her to a bunch of friends. She has told me so many amazing things that blew my mind in the past. One time for example she said that my dad (who’s passed away) was showing her a German Shepard. She asked if he had a German Shepard. He had 3 of them. One time she said I was going to Las Vegas and I was going in three days. She told me I had a boyfriend at the time who had something wrong with one of his front teeth. She asked if it was chipped? It was a bit out of space and chipped. I was very excited to talk to her again, but unfortunately this time it felt more like she was guessing and it was all pretty much wrong to hahahaa… I guess I have to experience the future like everyone else 🙂

I feel that I need some time off from training as I felt pretty weak at the gym. I’m going to Colombia next week, so it will be perfect with a week off. But I still went and struggled through…

The shooting theme this week was ‘Netflix & Chill’. More like me eating all the props hahahaa… And ‘Paint me like one of your French girls…’

Also got a massage and a physiotherapy treatment. I love massages. The physiotherapy is mostly painful but I guess it’s good to work through all those knots and tightness…

My plan is to be able to stroll around with Hunter like this guy did with his cat.

The problem is that Hunter freezes when I put the harness on him. He walks a couple of steps and falls down like someone shot him. So dramatic. I guess he prefers to just be in bed…

Went shopping for some stuff to bring to Colombia next week. I’m so excited going. Meeting two friends there and who knows what we’ll get up to hehheee… I might have to disguise myself so I bought this mask among other things…

I put it on at a cafe to send my friends a photo and prepare them for what’s coming. The guy next to me asked if it was for Halloween. I held a straight face and said that I’m hiding from the police. He either didn’t get the joke or didn’t appreciate it and just went back to his computer hahhaaa… If someone said that to me with a damn mask on, I’d have at least 10 more questions. Joke or not 🙂

Think I’ll go to the movies today. Just have to find a movie with english subtitles 🙂 Tomorrow I’m getting my hair fixed and then packing for my trip. I fly at 5 AM on Tuesday. Can’t wait to eat choclo arepas in Colombia. My favorite!

Adios, Pumacita

A mix of a little bit of everything this week. One thing that I never miss is shooting. It involved me being a pervy life coach and a bit of a disco queen…

Threw in some clothed stuff too…

Took some pics at the gym when I was feeling strong, but I saw my saggy knee-skin in the pics and got self-conscious… I went to the vein-doctor or whatever they are called. He injected some foam in some spider-veins that were getting a bit too spidery…

Also did a two hour interview for a local Finnish newspaper. The paper comes out in the northern parts of Finland that my family is from. Fun to get to talk about my Finnish upbringing and memories from Finland.

On Friday on very short notice I decided to participate at a weekend bazaar here in the city. Of course everyone loved the Psychonaut Explorer stuff 🙂 , and it was nice meeting some cool people.

And no, I didn’t forget about Hunter. He is fabulous like always. Since he gets what he wants, the other day I made him a bed on the kitchen table so he could nap close by while I worked away…

That’s it. Now I’m going to look up a Psychic’s number that I have seen before. She is in LA and is amazing. Just got the urge to hear what she’s got to say 🙂

The best thing about this week was yesterday’s hike. It felt more like a climb, but it was worth it when you got to the top and saw the views over Mexico City. The place is called Pico del Aguila.

At the top we saw (or at least I think it is) the Popocatepetl volcano. It erupted this summer and some smoke was coming out of it…

Everytime I’m out hiking I’m reminded how much I love it. Need to make an effort and remind myself to plan more adventures in nature!

Looked like a big chicken at the gym the other day. I like colors 🙂

This week’s shoots… Felt right at home shooting in a sauna 🙂

I participated in two different Zoom meetings that talked about psychedelics. Key topics were how we can involve and respect the traditions of indigenous people who have a lot of knowledge about different plant medicines. Very interesting.

I love glasses and fun frames. I bought these two which I think are cool 🙂

Called the veterinarian over this week for Hunter. He had some wet stuff by his butt and thought maybe he has a wound or something. Hunter was not very accommodating when I tried to lift his tail and research his butt so it was better to have the vet do it. This veterinarian is amazing and so kind. He took Hunter with him and shaved his empty nutsack and around the butt. But everything was fine. Apparently just some discharge that was all normal. So Hunter is chilling and nothing wrong with him. Which just reminded me that I adopted him from the woods almost a year ago 🙂

Saw my friend Dyana and catched up.

I’ll leave you with this great quote by Maria Sabina!

“Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love and always remember…You are the medicine.”

Now let’s see what this Sunday has to offer!
